Sophisticated, natural, and welcoming, the recently renovated Hotel Madera has been a beloved neighborhood hangout since it opened over a decade ago. Thanks to its thoughtful, sophisticated design and warm staff, the hotel evokes a sense of serenity, privacy, and ease, ushering in guests as members of the family. In our intimate living room and Firefly restaurant, you might strike up effortless conversation with longtime Dupont Circle residents, or creative types with an artful eye who are happy to swap stories over a friendly cocktail. Our centrally located boutique hotel offers elegant meeting and event spaces for smaller groups, as well as spacious guest rooms and suites that feature special amenities like roomy balconies. No matter your reason for visiting our downtown hideaway, we are thrilled to let you in one of DC’s best-kept secrets.

This is a great place. The front desk staff was wonderful. The beds and pillows are really nice and the room is spacious and modern. It’s also in a good location to walk to many places for dinner. I’ll definitely return. I feel it’s a good value relative to other hotels without giving up quality.

Hotel's Favourite
This hotel exceeded expectations in EVERY way! Staff was absolutely amazing from front desk to bar staff to housekeeping and bellhop. Amazingly friendly and helpful. Made us feel like family by greeting us by name all the time. Room was super clean, huge bathroom, comfortable beds and nice touches everywhere. Ice on every floor prepackaged in individual bags. We will NEVER visit DC again and stay anywhere else. Keep up the great job and we’ll see you soon! Love love love this hotel!

Writing this review not even 1 day into our stay and we are enjoying every part of our stay. My girlfriend and I came to Washington DC for our Anniversary, and decided to stay at Hotel Madera. We immediately fell in love with the vibes of the people that were here. The service was great and made us feel like we were home. The front desk was ran by two young ladies, Dancia and Deja, and our valet specialist was Robert. They took care of us while we stayed 10/10 service. Not only was our service great, but they gave us multiple lists of recommended restaurants to try. Also, the room was great, we stayed in a king suite with a balcony. The vibrant colors, choices in art and furniture structure was to smooth, it reminded us of a 80s-90s room setup. Everything was super clean and new. 10/10 all across the board for us, so if your in Dupot Circle please stay at Hotel Madera.

The photos of the room were accurate; clean, spacious, modern. We enjoyed our quaint but quality hotel. The moment we arrived until we departed the staff went out of their ways with kindness, great attitude and so pleasant especially Deja. She welcomed us like family and the location was ideal. I’ve stayed at many different hotels and Hotel Madera is one of my favorites. The restaurant, Firefly was good too. The entire staff deserves a shout out. Everyone made us feel special. Thanks.

The staff was incredible and the interior design was impeccable. The room had everything you could need with a minimalst, sleek, high end feel. The location was within walking distance to many great restaurants and close to the Hill and other DC attractions. Would highly recommend!

Understated entryway staffed with excellent hotel representatives Ice and Robert. They were friendly, accommodating and meticulous. Valet parking much appreciated. Large fresh, clean, updated room with elegant bathroom. We're in the construction business and we were impressed with the shower style and sliding bathroom entry door. Well appointed with couch, refreshment station, coffee table and exterior balcony!
