This is THE hotel to stay at if you're traveling on vacation in DC. The staff is great, you see celebs and Senators...pretty neat. Caution, this hotel has bad rooms and you'll want to spend some extra jake to get a decent room with a view. By no means to you want a room with a courtyard view...these are dungeons...

It goes without saying that the location cannot be beat. The views of the White House from the top are amazing. The rooms are well-appointed, pretty and the service is impeccable. While we were there, I believe our children were some of the (very few) there and the hotel would send up smoothies, cookies, hot chocolate, etc. each night as...

What's not to like? Staying at the greatest Hotel in DC with a special rate? Which is the only way I can ever stay at the Hay Adams. Superb service, views. Got here by accident when it became the overflow hotel for a legislative conference I regularly attended. Always waited for the overflow after that...lol.

I have stayed at the Hay Adams many times over the years and have always looked forward to my stays here. I had breakfast all three mornings in the Lafayette room and everyone of them I had to eventually ask, after a very long wait, if the hostess could please get our waiter to come over. It was not the...

This a grand old hotel that provides an ambiance and level of service that grows scarcer each day in the industry. The staff is flawless - personal and accommodating without being suffocating. The rooms are a welcome throwback to another time when comfort and elegance were demanded over technology and glitz. That's not to say they do not feature the...

The hay adams is a top shelf hotel with a staff that goes above and beyond. It's perfectly located at the white house. The bar and restaurant called off the record which is located in the hotel is fun and has a great happy hour scene. The rooms are just beautiful and the amenities even better.

The Hay Adams is that rare property offering elegance without pretense (a cookie jar at check-in!), tradition without datedness (Etro toiletries stocked in bathrooms). My canopied bed was sheer luxury. Service is superb - and friendly (and unscripted!) Their motto: nothing is overlooked except the White House! My room (#508) offered an excellent view. The hotel appeals to both business...

I will preface my review by saying that I use TripAdvisor quite often to read reviews of hotels, but this is my first review...the Hay-Adams is THAT good. This is the most classic hotel in DC, no doubt about it. The service is second to none, and you can't beat the location overlooking the White House. Whenever I stay here I feel like a visiting head of state.
