I would have given 5 stars, had it not been for a little billing dispute. I discovered well after I returned home that there was an extra $100 charged at the time of the check-in. The hotel accounting dept claimed that it was a mistake by my credit card company since it was supposed to be just authorization and told...

If younger looking for a "4 star" pampering hotel, this is not it. Older hotel, has nothing to do, not a welcoming lobby or rooms. Tv is not fully HD, analog most channels. The best thing is the location of the hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights at the fairfax at the end of March and really enjoyed it. The check in was great and even got an upgraded room, cocktail vouchers and complimentary breakfast one of the mornings because it was our anniversary. The room was lovely. The staff are really friendly and the hotel is in a great location ....

Small boutique hotel feel which we like. Room was very nice traditional decorated. Best hotel shower ever! Spotless housekeeping. Quiet, reserved atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff at front desk and doorman valet. Delicious breakfast buffet priced reasonably to start the day prior to touring. Very convenient 4 minute walk to Dupont Metro Station where you hop on to tour...

I cannot remember a more pleasurable check-in experience! As a frequent traveler, I truly appreciate seeing a smiling, friendly face after a tiring journey and know the first encounter at a hotel often sets the tone of an entire trip. "Q" made our complicated reservation effortless and we immediately felt welcomed. I am looking forward to the rest of the...

Stayed here using air miles as the only way of paying under $400/night for a decent night's sleep in the city. Great location and I was really pleased with the size of my room, it was massive, but there was no natural light whatsoever which made me not want to spend any time in it. And all fixtures/furnishings very dated...

We stayed at the Fairfax at Embassy Row in Washington, D.C. This beautiful hotel is located near if not in the DuPont Circle. You are well within walking distance to many of the amazing monuments that are located in D.C. The room had a very comfortable king sized bed with big comfy pillows! Our first night our flight was delayed...

Absolutely loved this hotel stay. The room was gorgeous. It was light and airy, and was larger than I expected. The bed was a Queen size and very comfortable too. It was clean and secure. Cannot fault the experience we had here. Short walk to all attractions in the area. Only downside is that we could hear every conversation (and...

I have had the opportunity to stay many places in different parts of the country as I travel quite a bit for work. This has been one of my greatest stays.
