I just left this hotel today after a 5 night stay. I stumbled upon this site while searching in a vain attempt to buy the pillows and linens the hotel uses. They are exquisite. My opinion was shared by others at the conference I attended. Yes, some of the rooms are on the small size but the value proposition is...

Old school amenities and service in a hip central DC location. DuPont Circle has great restaurants, shopping, and metros. Walkable to Georgetown. This sophisticated luxurious hotel offers well appointed rooms with perfect beds and quiet atmosphere. Liked the happy hour downstairs. Perfect for families or couples. My mom's favorite.

My room (apparently an upgrade) was surprisingly small, but nice. Not as luxurious as they seem to think, but ok. No bath tub. Customer service is dreadful -- it seems because there are simply not enough well-trained front desk and management staff. Front desk is far too small. Don't request ANYTHING (transportation, printing, anything). It'll take forever (multiple requests) waiting...

We are truly disappointed to hear that your recent stay with us did not meet your expectations. A few of our rooms are on the smaller side, as is our lobby; however, we would have been happy to assist in finding you the perfect room to suit your needs had we known that you were unhappy. We do apologize for...

The Fairfax was a nice boutique hotel. The location was great in Dupont circle, near many restaurants and the Metro. The hotel staff were nice and helpful. The rooms are rather small, but big enough if you don't plan to spend much time in them. We stayed on the 7th floor and during our stay they would start repairs in...

Stayed here for the Fourth of July celebration weekend. Asked for a rollaway bed when the reservation was made 3 months ago, they said no problem. When we arrived we were given a room with two double beds for three adults, not even queen size beds. They told us the rollaway would cause a fire hazard and we could not...

Your review certainly concerns us, as this is not at all what we want for our valued guests. It seems that there were several areas where we could have worked harder to impress you and for that, we apologize. The Fairfax at Embassy Row is tucked away on a charming corner of Mass Ave. The hotel lobby is small but welcoming and the people were kind and helpful. The hotel has a little of that historical feel and it has a warm presence to it. The room we had was on the small side but looked updated and was...

Great location, near the Metro and lots of great restaurants and bars. Julie at the Front Desk was wonderful! Would absolutely stay here again when we come back to DC. Breakfast was great - loved the lemon-ricotta pancakes. The Happy Hour in the bar also proved a great value!

Excellent location, very closed to Dupont Circle station and cafe. Room is very spacious even for three people. The bedding is very good, room is quiet so we all can sleep well. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful! I could not ask more.

The hotel is charming and in a great location. The room was cute with a view over duct work in the alley. But, it was quiet. There was not a ventilation fan in the bathroom so it was extremely muggy. We wanted to sleep a bit in the AM but the maid barged in the room even with a Do...
