The hotel is located in a great area of Georgetown West End WDC. Parking at readable price next door. Sunday breakfast very busy and not good service. Certainly We would stay there others times. The reception could be much more kind to chill out our stress in the traveling.
We enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Place DC/Georgetown/West end. The person that checked me in was super nice and accommodating. The lobby is very nice. Our room was very spacious and nice. The only downside was the tub is a little old and yucky looking. We would definitely stay here again!
The pool wasn't the cleanest looking. floors were wet and messy looking. My towel in the shower had some rust on it. There was here in different spots of the bathroom from hr previous guest. There was crumbs on the side of my mattress in between the headboard from a previous guest. The carpet needed a deep shampoo cleaning to look nicer. Had dark stains in the light.
This is in the middle of Foggy Bottom. I booked this hotel for a college visit weekend. It was easy to get around the city and lots of places to go near by. Breakfast was included but not the greatest. I wish they had a waffle maker.
I had a very comfortable stay at the Hyatt Place Washington DC, with a good size room, comfortable bed, and fine amenities. Would have appreciated more outlets by the bed given my various devices and expected perhaps one more notch up in terms of luxury given the Hyatt name. However, this was a great place to stay while attending meetings at GWU.
Overall excellent stay and would stay there again. Rooms are clean. Services are very good. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Location is very good and close to metro. Many good places to eat around the hotel. Good and comfortable sleeping conditions.
Our stay was outstanding. Even though maid service was not everyday, we would see them and get what we needed. Hostess in Breakfast Buffett and front desk polite always with a smile and helpful in any questions we had. Everything we needed was close by and getting Uber's was not bad. Our room, faced the front. My only complaint was the fire station is about two building down. Throughout the night you would hear the siren's. I would like to see the hotel but in decorative drapes to help block out the morning sun and some of the nighttime lights. Overall, I would stay there again, but maybe not have a front street view. After all, you are not living in the room. :-)
I returned to my hotel room last Thursday night to find water pouring from the ceiling. Initially I thought the sprinkler had gone off but it was coming through the paint from the bathroom above where i could hear a pipe running. Management botched their handling of it saying the hotel was full so they couldn't move me to another room. They gave me a pile of guest towels - some stained - to clean up the floor myself! The manager offered me 2000 Hyatt points for my inconvenience, which is nothing. If it had not been 11pm at night and I wasn't checking out the next morning, I would have asked to be moved to another hotel at their expense. The worst part was when I checked out the next day and politely raised my concern that asking me to clean up the flood myself and giving me a small amount of points was unacceptable, the manager at the front desk raised his voice at me. I am a business traveler and have no interest in getting into a pissing match with an unprofessional hotel manager. I walked away. Retrain your personnel. If the flood had not happened, I would be rating this a 3 star experience, my bathroom toilet seat was installed poorly and kept slipping when used and the light switches and shampoo were dirty in the room fro previous guests. I cleaned them myself. The bed was at least comfortable and the room was otherwise quiet.…
The hotel was clean, the room was spacious, the workout room was well equipped and the rooftop space was lovely. Breakfast was nice as well. The location was close to DuPont circle do there was a lot of restaurants near by. I’d definitely stay again
Everything was clean, beautiful, and comfy. Everyone was nice and informative. The pool was great and the breakfast was simple but it got the job done. I’d definitely go back. Love the neighboring parking garage for piece of mind parking my car.
