Detailed Reviews
My recent stay at the Hyatt was exceptional. The luxurious rooms were impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, providing a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. The hotel's central location made it easy to explore the city's attractions. The on-site restaurant offered a delicious variety of gourmet dishes, and the spa facilities were a delightful retreat after a day of sightseeing. Overall, the Hyatt exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Friendly staff and clean property. We requested housekeeping each day and the cleaning staff kept great care of our room. Breakfast had some gluten free options (bagels and toast), which is appreciated (toaster is shared, however). I would not recommend the breakfast if you have to pay, however. It is free for higher ranking rewards members. The metro is about a 10 min walk away and there is a drugstore nearby, which was convenient. Overall, a pleasant stay.

This is a great location to stay at in the Washington DC area if you don't want to be too close to the hustle and bustle of City Central DC or just want to be closer to Georgetown (also right across from the Ritz-Carlton). I reserved 2 rooms (two Queen beds with sofa bed) and both rooms were clean and spacious, while not completely emptying my pockets! Valet parking can be pricey but is extremely convenient! Our service was excellent overall! Also, for our party of seven with two kids under 13, having breakfast included with the stay is extremely clutch! I can't recommend this hotel enough especially you're just here for a weekend stay!

Worke is her name and she was the person who checked us in and she was extremely pleasant and accommodating.
I made a comment about having a “view” from the room and without saying a thing, she changed our room to the front where we had a fantastic view of the hustle and bustle of downtown DC! She later followed up with a call to the room to make sure we were happy and comfortable. We were delighted.
In fact everyone here has been outstanding. Everyone is in a great mood and always checking on how we’re doing and if we need anything.
Oh yeah, the hotel is great too! Very clean and fresh. The complimentary breakfast was very nice with a wide selection of items to choose from.
Highly recommended, and say hello to Worke for us !!!

Our week-long stay at Hyatt Place got off to a great start thanks to Jose's exceptional service. Despite an unfortunate overbooking situation on our first night, Jose worked tirelessly to find a solution and ensure we were inconvenienced as little as possible. He turned a potentially stressful start into a pleasant experience through his resourcefulness and genuine care, setting a positive tone for our entire visit.
Throughout our week at Hyatt Place, Marina continued to impress with her outstanding attentiveness. Traveling with two teenagers can be challenging, but Marina went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. She proactively arranged for us to move to a more suitable room, minimizing any disruption and making the transition seamless. Her willingness to accommodate our family's needs, along with Jose's initial help, made our stay truly memorable and enjoyable. We highly recommend this hotel thanks to their incredible team.

Location is good, close to Georgetown, 21st/M, a bit more residential than others in DC. Rooms are fine. Nice gym and a real pool. Staff are friendly. “Upgraded breakfast” costs $11 if you don’t have loyalty. I usually get oatmeal (rather than powdered eggs), which is usually fine, but at the Hyatt West End, it’s a watery mass that faintly resembles oatmeal. Where’s the upgrade? Other small point — room door lock was broken and wouldn’t close.

Hi Traveldad2018 Thank you for your feedback. I am glad that the Front Desk was able to provide a welcoming experience. However, I noticed that you had some issues with breakfast during your stay. We are working with new vendors to ensure our product and quality reflect our guest expectations moving forward. If you are in the area in the future, I hope you give us another opportunity to not only meet but exceed your expectations.

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable sofa in addition to the comfy bed. The bathroom had a separate toilet and shower room with the sink alongside it in an alcove off the bedroom. I personally find this inconvenient, preferring a bathroom to include the sink. But it just took a bit of adapting. And keeping the window blind down, which didn’t really matter as I didn’t have the lovely views shown in some of the pictures. I looked onto a wall and down into someone else’s bedroom!
Breakfast was included and was pleasant; more fruit would have been appreciated. Easy self service.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is well situated with a great coffee shops next door and a bagel eatery across the street. There’s a chemist/snack store very near.
It’s also a relatively easy and pleasant walk into the main part of Georgetown with many places to eat, shops and the canal.
I didn’t get a chance to use the pool or other facilities, I wish I had.
The lifts can be a bit temperamental, not always responding to the room card.
However any issues were small and more than compensated for by the positives. A very comfortable, pleasant stay. I’d definitely return.

The room was great. Had no complaints about it because it was clean. We were a short cab ride to the in D.C. (White house, Monuments, museums). The neighborhood around the hotel offered a variety of restaurants and was safe to walk around. There is a Walgreens down the street from the hotel for a quick stop to pick up anything you forgot to bring with you.
I would've given a 5 out of 5 review, but I will say that even though the breakfast was good and there was a variety of breakfast foods offered, the seating area for breakfast, even though it is sort of big, it just wasn't enough seating as the breakfast rush of people can be quite large which creates a line, and while you are waiting in line, you can see the tables/seats in the dining area all become occupied.
Also, the pool is great to have with kids, but the water was on the chilly side instead of the heated side of the thermometer when we swam.
In our room, the AC/heat was pretty loud, so we adjusted/pushed the temperature to our liking a little beyond our norm during the few hours while we were out before our bed time so we could just turn off the heat while we slept, and everything was fine.

The fronk desk staff at Hyatt was courteous. My room was spick and span and the free continental breakfast was sumptuous and I really enjoyed the food. The location of the hotel is strategic and close to many ammenities and tourists attractions. It is also not far from the Raegan Airport that makes transportation to and from very easy.

Stayed there in July 4th for 3 nights (used GOH for two room booking, one with points(two queen beds) , one with cash(one king bed)). Arrived at around 5:30PM, told me no two queen beds room available. Had to take two king bed room. Breakfast is poor even for free (they would charge 11$ per person). Valet parking staff is friendly and able to have late check out with GOH. When check in and out both times I told them to ensure no charge for breakfast and parking as it is included with GOH benefits, still got bill with breakfast charge and even 4 nights parking(yes not 3 nights). When I tried to call the hotel front desk after check out to tell them the wrong charges, no one pick up the phone(tried at least 3 times).

Yes, the hotel charges a daily rate with in and out privileges. The garage next door charges fir each entry. We utilized the hotel garage.
WE caught the Metro at Foggy Bottom because our daughter is a student at George Washington. It was about a mile walk.
