We stayed for two nights in the room with king bed and hot tub. And even though our impression was ultimately totally ruined, I will start with the good things to be fair. The location, nature, and the view from our room were absolutely fantastic. The room itself was simply gorgeous: the fireplace, pictures on the walls, bed, hot tub,...

We drove to Alpine yesterday to have lunch at the Tal Wi Wi. Three of us had the Tal Wi Wi half pound hamburger. It was done to perfection. A little crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It came with either fries or coleslaw. Both were very good. We also had Bloody Mary's which were very good....

We had Room 1 in a new block of about 7 rooms at the front of the property. It had a gas fireplace, jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower and blonde wood on the walls. The shaded deck, with comfortable wooden chairs, is just right for lounging in the cool air. There's a nice, new fitness center and a restaurant and saloon....

Recently stayed at the lodge. The bar and patio are simply great...nice décor, serene White Mountain view. Room was clean, decent size, comfortable beds. Room price was reasonable. Very biker friendly; Parking, wood planks for kickstand, level gravel parking. The restaurant? Limited choices, expensive for what you got, food not real tasty. Bar? Nice variety but outside of happy hour,...

We recently traveled to Alpine, AZ & were fortunate to find the Tal-Wi-Wi Lodge. They are located in a beautiful area with peaceful views. We stayed in one of the older units but the accommodations were still quite satisfactory. There is a restaurant/bar on site which is very convenient in this area. The food was great but the beer could've...

Our 2nd visit, also went last Sept. during elk hunting/mating season - what were we thinking then?? It's much quieter with the elks and Elmer Fudds laying low and the weather is much nicer in May (Memorial Day weekend). In fact, the temperature outdoors is perfect in late May. No hairdryer, no Jacuzzi or pool. Lodge deck has nice, large...

We are an older retired couple who travel extensively, often on long road trips. We prefer to stay in non-chain motels, cabins and lodges whenever possible, especially when we have the time to spend several nights in one place. If a property just meets our expectations for one of its type, we'd rate it a 3. If we're pleasantly surprised,...

Recent trip to Alpine had us going out with friends and we decided on the Tal-Wi-Wi lodge restaurant. Since business was slow we had to eat in the bar. Decor is very he-manish with heads of everything on the wall...not a vegan joint. Wait staff was slow to mobilize but we were not in a hurry. Steaks were good. Beer...

If you're looking for a place in Alpine, I would definitely recommend the Tal Wi Wi. The rooms in building A are the best! I had a room with a gas fireplace, a hot tub, and an enormous shower. It was extremely luxurious, and the price was quite reasonable. The only downside was that the hotel web page doesn't really...

We were pleasantly surprised to find that a room was available for one night on a busy holiday week-end! Check in was easy and then we had a nice late lunch at the bar/restaurant. My husband had chicken strips, which he wasn't too crazy about. We shared onion rings, which were excellent and came with a yummy chipotle sauce. I...
