Little things can make a big impression. The bathroom tub had a non-slip surface, magnets on the shower curtain kept the curtain in place and the floor dry, a towel hook right next to the tub/shower put the bath towel in easy reach, and the water pressure and hot water supply were great. The bathroom counter was a generous size and the the room, with two queen beds, was pleasant and a good size. The complimentary breakfast buffet had a broad variety of items on offer and was one of the nicest we've encountered.
Our room had no noticeable traffic noise but we were on the side away from the freeway. The only criticism we would make is that the in-room refrigerator was noisy enough to bother us when we were trying to sleep; we ended up unplugging it for the duration of the night.
We only stayed one night so we can't speak to what kind of housekeeping services are offered for a longer stay.
The room charge was very competitive for the area and makes the hotel a much better value than some neighboring ones of similar quality. (We've stayed at a few.)
The hotel has posted a notice that renovations will be taking place November 1 through April 30. We hope it offers the same value and quality when the renovations are done.

This Hampton Inn is absolutely delightful. The property is attractive and immaculately maintained. Our room was spacious and the bed was so comfy that I slept well. The staff contributes greatly to the quality of the stay. From front desk to housekeeping to breakfast staff, they all work together to take great care of their visitors.

I was not offered my Diamond Benefits at all. I asked if my room can be upgraded with a whirlpool jacuzzi since I already booked a 1 bed. I was told that it would cost me an additional $10-$11 per night. I was told over the phone prior to my arrival that it shouldn’t be a problem since I’m a Diamond member, I should get the upgrade for free. Well, it didn’t happen and instead of $11 a night cost, it actually cost almost $20 more per night. I was, at first, ok with the charges but when I started using the jet in the jacuzzi, it made this incredibly loud noise as if I was going to get electrocuted in it. I jumped out then a bunch of hair came out of the jet, it was a hair ball of nastiness that started floating around. I asked the cleaning lady just outside of my room nicely to please come clean it. And she kept telling me, “I don’t know. I don’t know.” I realized then that it was a language barrier. I can’t fault her for that. I just went back in the room to clean the jacuzzi and disposed the hair ball myself. I took pictures if you need it. I’ve never been disappointed with any of stays in a Hampton, but this one truly blows.

Several members of my family stayed here at Christmas and we all loved it! It's clean, the beds are comfy, it has a nice fitness center, and we loved the breakfast. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. One night about 25 of us gathered in the public room just to hang out. We'd brought snacks, but they brought us glass wine glasses for our beverages and made us popcorn! So nice! We can't remember everyone's names - everyone was great - but special thanks to Jeff, the night manager and Arsen. We will be back!

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and have always been always been totally satisfied with our stay. The hotel is in a good location and has reasonable rates. The property is well maintained. It has a business center (computers, printers, etc), an outdoor pool, an exercise room with a selection of machines to work out on. Parking was secure and free. The included breakfast was well maintain with a wide selection of items. The front desk staff were all very pleasant and helpful - we especially appreciated Cassie, Jeff, David and Arsen. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We've stayed at Hampton Inns before and we were quite pleased to stay at this one, having felt comfortable there right away.
We liked the lobby with puzzles, the room, the fitness center and hot tub, and the included breakfast.
As I didn't want dairy, I asked if there would be a plant milk (e.g., soy, almond, flax, oat) at breakfast and they said no, but that I could buy it at a nearby store. I pointed to their 100% Guarantee sign and asked how serious they were about it. I had to speak with more than one person and received vague responses, but they did come through and there was soy milk in the back for me when I asked the woman working the breakfast room the next morning.
They could have been smoother about it, but I'm a happy customer.
We very much enjoyed hiking in the nearby Malibu Creek State Park.

Stayed here recently for 2 nights in a 2 Queens room. The room and bathroom were very nice and comfortable. The hotel had warm cookies available at check-in, and tea/coffee available in the lobby throughout the day. Very pleasant and caring staff. Really appreciated the fact that their laundry room and fitness centre were open 24/7, and the fitness equipment provided was really good and allowed both cardio and really good resistance & strength training. It came very handy during the bad weather we’ve had during our stay. We booked here as a base for hiking and exploring the area including Malibu, and it really was a great location for that, even though you need a car to move around, even to go to restaurants etc. The only thing I didn’t like was rather poor quality products at breakfast time, i.e. corn syrup for waffles, only very sugary products, that would be probably loved by kids, but not great for us, all in all. Depending on the day, you may have very limited choices especially if having any dietary restrictions or being health conscious (i.e. they added bacon to eggs one of the mornings). You might be ok as a vegetarian, vegans could probably only have coffee and apples for breakfast. And there were indeed people at breakfast time, not looking happy, who were literally only having coffee and a piece of fruit. Other than the disappointing breakfast, this was a very good choice for exploring this side of ‘LA County’. Would gladly return when in the area.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times in the past and always return when visiting Southern California. The hotel is one of the best Hampton Inns. The staff is very accommodating. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The included buffet breakfast offers a wide selection and is well maintained by the staff. The hotel has a nice exercise room, business center, and outdoor pool. Jace and David at the reception desk were very pleasant and helpful. We also enjoyed the free cookies in the afternoon. We needed to be in Malibu very early on a Saturday morning so we stayed here the night before. We arrived at 11:00 pm on a rainy Friday night. It was nice that they have a covered entrance for drop off. Uncovered parking is readily available. Our check in was easy and our room was wonderful. Large room with everything you could possible need or want. Lots of pillows also. In the bathroom, I was very pleased with the quality of the towels. Soap dispenser in the shower along with shampoo and conditioner. Small bar of soap at the sink. All very nice. Breakfast started at 6 AM which was perfect for us. I had a problem finding enough food to eat. I do not eat ham/bacon and the eggs offered had ham mixed in. No hard boiled eggs are offered. Peanut butter offered is Skippy, which is loaded with sugar. 2 waffle stations are available. Juice machine had 3 options, plus water. I had to stop at McDonalds for round eggs for some protein. Check out was simple since the hotel emailed me my receipt 3 times.

NO, there are none in the rooms. And I was actually going to amend my original review, as I let two bags with them on a previous stay. I went back to retrieve them just last week and one bag was missing. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk manager he immediately started to cover their backsides which did not make me happy. After a week and seven phone calls, the General Manager finally got back to me. She was rude, and condescending. So much so that it is shocking to me that a person like that would be in charge of the entire staff. She made snide remarks and didn’t offer to compensate me in any way for my missing items with the exception of offering me a discount and upgrade on my next stay. I promptly declined. Why would I want to stay again at a property where my items can come up misssing and the person in charge not only does not care, but was rude about it to boot??!! No thanks! I would stay away from this property if I were you!!!!
