Hotel's Favourite
This hotel is a gem. The management staff was very accommodating and really enjoyed the room and the rest of the staff. The hotel is really well maintained and has a few amenities, gym, putting green complimentary golf clubs to use and a wonderful bbq gathering area. The hot tub is nice too and the social hour on wed. Nights is amazing! Thank you Henry and his team for a wonderful experience I hope to come back again soon! Zippora and Kelsey were amazing face to have at the front desk as well!

I booked here mostly for the relatively cheap price and good reviews while in the Los Angeles area and also because I am a big fan of the Homewood Suites brand.
The location is alright given that it's a ways out of Los Angeles city proper and there is actually pretty easy access into the city via US 101. There is a level of seclusion as the hotel is located in a pretty upscale suburb.
The staff were overall warm and welcoming but not stand out in really any aspect. The hotel is split into four buildings, three which house guest rooms and another which houses the lobby.
The best thing to be said about the room is that it was large and expansive. There was nice sized kitchen with a dining area and the room was plenty spacious even with the pullout couch opened. The pillows were nice although the bed was a bit firm for my liking. The main issue was that there were a few gaps in the blackout curtain which let in a bit more light than I would have liked.
My complaints with the room mostly revolve around the bathroom. I did like that the sink area and the shower and toilet were separated, however the portion of the bathroom area that housed the shower and toilet was quite dimly lit (I suspect this was due to a burnt out light bulb). The toilet was extremely low to the floor, even for hotel standards and the shower curtain had the appearance of some mould growth. I also thought that the sofa bed was quite hard. The internet also had a tendency to disconnect quite a bit.
The breakfast was okay but disappointing for a Homewood Suites. There were three hot options, although the options weirdly did not rotate the second day I went down for breakfast but did the third day. During my three night stay the only options available were potatoes, sausage, and frittatas. The issue was that aside from the hot options there wasn't much in the way of secondary selection. There were no hard boiled eggs and a relatively limited selection of breads which was a disappointment for a hotel of this stature.
I'm on the fence about this particular Homewood Suites. It checked off most of the boxes aside from the breakfast being slightly underwhelming but the room wasn't particularly standout so I would say it's a quality option, especially for the money, but probably wouldn't be my absolute first option in the area.

This was our second stay here (randomly discovered a couple years ago when making a last minute reservation) because each room is basically a super spacious suite at the same price as a normal room at other hotels. There’s a separate “living room” area with a kitchen and a full sized fridge! It was just a romantic trip with the two of us but someone else could sleep in the living room if needed.
Each area had a TV and AC. The bedroom has a king sized bed with 2 nightstands, dresser, and desk. The bedroom has a nice ceiling fan!
It’s not the most modern and chic furniture/hardware but it’s perfectly good enough, probably because it seems very clean!
It’s very private and quiet, didn’t hear anyone else really. I will probably stay here again next time we want to go to Malibu!

This is a nice property with a Trader Joe's just nextdoor. There is a putting green, hot tub, and a pool as well as a really charming sitting area with party lights and grills. We could not enter our room from the lobby; instead, we had to go outside the lobby, then to building 1 where our room was located. Employee Rudy is a very hard worker who clearly seeks to make guests' stays great. Though the ice machine on our floor wasn't working, Rudy was going to personally deliver ice to our room; we told him we'd just come down for it. We let Vincent know of Rudy's great attitude and he graciously received the compliment. Probably still related to COVID: boxed breakfast with a flavorless Lender's bagel, cream cheese, yogurt, and apple. Frozen Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches also available, but the egg, cheese, and biscuit portions all contained dairy/whey which a family member has a severe allergy to. Really hard when the almost every breakfast item has dairy. Wish the Hilton properties would make scrambled eggs withOUT milk! A million thanks to young Rudy who really impressed us!

The toilets are only 14 inches from the floor, my husband had to help me get up and down on the toilet. Normal toilets are at least 16 plus inches, these were just ridiculous, The room in the suite was way too tiny for a king bed. Seniors skin is like tissue paper, one side was right next to the heater and if hitting with one's leg would have caused a major injury. Additionally, we were 3 adults. The sofa bed had no bedding, only a mattress cover, called to the desk and they said to come down to get a bedding packet. We were in the next building, they had just checked us in and should have given us the needed packet at check in, since they knew the bed would not have bedding. The breakfast was a box lunch, 2 hard boiled eggs,a bagel, cream cheese and orange juice. Not good.

Not the Hilton you want to stay at. For the price you pay, stay at a Marriott.
Cons:
1) Our room stunk like something died inside or some terrible cooking. We were only offered an air freshener. 2) Guests leave their used towels/pizza box/trash bin/recyclables/ etc outside their rooms for housekeeping to clean up. 3) You’ll be waiting for hours for your pool towels. Toddler and I were at the pool for 2hrs and several staff walked by the pool and no one decided to stock up or replace the towels. 4) There is no rule for children under 12 to be accompanied by an adult for breakfast or evening social. Literally 4 kids from one family was running a muck for breakfast and evening social. Those kids touched everything, put it in their mouth and returned the food. They picked at the food because there was no adult supervision but there was also no regulation. 5) Our room was next to a 35 gallon trash bin (see photo) that guests used to throw trash and stack used towels. Another guest decided it was appropriate to bring up the grocery cart and leave it outside their room overnight. 6) Parking next to Trader Joe’s is horrible with shoppers parking on the hotel side and hotel does not enforce ’guest only parking’. 7) Request a room away from the freeway. It’s loud even with a double pane window. Extremely loud during the day and doesn’t get better at night with cars constantly in the freeway. 8) The sauna had algae

Would stay here again. Clean, spacious rooms. Carpets were perhaps a bit dated and could use an upgrade. Located right next to Trader Joes. Breakfast buffet was included in the price and there was plenty of food to choose from. Nicely located to where we needed to go.

Everything about this stay exceeded expectations. The property was extremely clean, the suites were nicely equipped, the pool area was well maintained, and the hot breakfast featured a variety of choices. I was especially impressed that they had almond milk in the breakfast room! Although the property is right of the freeway, there was absolutely no noise in the room, from the outside or from neighboring rooms. I would absolutely stay here again if in the area.

Stayed in this hotel less than a week ago. The room was very spacious and well appointed, equipped with a kitchen with an electric stove and microwave. The bed was very comfortable with fluffy pillows to match.
Breakfast was great as there was a generous assortment of food. A pool with a jacuzzi and an outdoor grill are some of the amenities one can enjoy.
But what really made a difference in our experience was the presence of Zipporah in the front desk. She was very approachable and sincere in seeing to it that our stay was a memorable and enjoyable one, checking on us every so often, which really exceeded our expectations. Simply a natural! Kelsey likewise was very warm and friendly and assisted us in our needs.
Finally, Daisy of housekeeping was very dedicated to her work and always set the mood for a great morning with a constant smile on her face each time we bumped into her.
Will we come back? Most definitely! Overall, on a scale from one to ten, this one’s an eleven, no question about it. If anyone’s looking for a great place to stay, I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks for the great service and most of all, the great memories.

Not sure. When we were there it was 120 degrees plus so not an issue. Pool was very warm.
Trader Joe's is literally next door and the hotel has a barbecue to use.
