Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well maintained. The area is great for dining with several quality restaurants within walking distance. Would rate higher if they had better breakfast but for the price we couldn't complain too much.

Pleasant friendly staff, comfortable clean rooms with excellent amenities. The flat screen TV of only average quality, and a difficult remote control were the only downers. The cost of the room was very reasonable, and compared very favorably against the high price of a room at the Viejas Casino hotel.

All of the staff at Ayres lodge were very pleasant. Todd at the front desk was beyond helpful and just seemed overall happy to be working. It was not a forced emotion he was just generally happy to help and made it seem like he was working his own business :) The rooms were hot when entering as mentioned by...

This is a real good option for your stay if you don't mind driving about 20 miles to San Diego's Downtown. Small an comfy hotel. Clean and well equipped rooms. The kids love the pool and the backyard. Will definitely go there again.

clean, decent prices if you stay 2 nites, mostly friendly staff, close to casino, shuttle provided, provides amenities in the room, great grounds in the back, close to the mountains in the background, only problems close to fwy traffic, they need to monitor the kids in the jacuzzi more or at least make parents follow the rules, fix things that...

I showed up around 8 p.m. on a day when the temps were in the low hundreds. I walked into the room and it felt like I had entered an oven. No one had turned the AC on. I don't mean they had it set at 80 I mean it was off! I immediately turned it on but it was...

Getting signed into the room took much longer than it should have, only one person on duty. The room was very nice, but I think they are over priced for the area. The breakfast was very limited, packaged pastries primarily. They should have a hot breakfast for what they are charging.

I have stayed at the lodge 4 times over the last month. It is always impeccably clean, mores than any other hotel in SD County in its class. The staff is very professional and accommodating, especially Todd of the evening staff and the cool lobby kitty, Frankie. My 1st stay I had a standard room, with no microwave or fridge....
