Such a beautiful place, a retreat away from city life but close to great food and entertainment. We spent two very comfortable nights and thoroughly enjoyed chatting with our hostess. She is a delight and a fabulous cook. (Thanks for accomodating my irregular schedule.) Breakfasts were varied and delicious, and as we ate we watched the deer snacking in the...

What began as a last minute find during our honeymoon has been a wonderful anniversary trip destination. Each time we've returned we've enjoyed the total relaxation we find there. "Our" room has views of the property, great sunlight, a comfy bed and a wonderful tub with jets. There's also soft-fluffy towels galore and a wonderful shower. There's a nice sitting...

We stayed 6 days from September 6 through 13, and had a great time. We really enjoyed the fresh breakfasts and the conversation around the large dining table in the sunny dining room. Kris would tell us if any new events were happening in the area or recommend local restaurants, which were all excellent. Kris was generous with explaining everything...

I was recently married and looking around for a nice B&B for our honeymoon, and couldn't be happier after our stay at Sand Rock! Kris, the proprietor, was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon memorable. The house has only a few rooms and it makes for a quiet, personal stay. The grounds were beautiful and...

We have stayed at Sand Rock Farm twice. The first time was for the wedding of our best friends, and everything was lovely. The setting, in the garden around the fountain, was perfect, and the reception out on the deck with champagne and treats was personalized and delightful. We returned for a weekend of Shakespeare and found our second room...

For years I'd searched for a place to stay near Santa Cruz that was simply quiet and relaxing, and Sand Rock Farm is all this and more. My wife and I discovered this haven four years ago, and perfection is the only word to describe it: peaceful, rural, beautiful--an ideal place to simply sit and relax when not sightseeing--and exceptionally...

Sand Rock Farm might well be the most perfect place in the world to get married. We thought about having our wedding in an Irish castle or on an Italian lake, but realized that no other spot anywhere could feel as romantic and special as that lovely inn and gardens in Aptos which we loved the first time we stayed...

We just returned to Tokyo, Japan from a trip to the west coast of the United States that included one night at Sand Rock Farm. Although our stay there was very short, we enjoyed it very much. The grounds are beautiful and my husband was particularly impressed by the kinds of rare flowers that are non-existent here in Japan! We...

My husband, daughter and I stayed here while touring colleges. We were very pleased with the beautiful decor, warm ambiance, and kindness of the staff. The grounds are lovely. We enjoyed walking the trails between the ancient redwood trees and watching the twittering birds in the garden. Our room was large and very comfortable. The shower gels in the bath...

We had our wedding at the stunningly beautiful Sand Rock Farm in July 2008. My husband and I really wanted to get married outdoors, and when we saw the Redwood Grove location, we were sold, and knew we wanted to get married underneath the gorgeous Redwood tree, among the lush greenery and abundant flowers of Sand Rock Farm. Our 95...
