We are owners and members of Hilton/Diamond resorts. We love coming here for weekends and weeks if we have the time available . Facilty and grounds are great. The location for us is just so convenient and close to lots of things we like to do.
Great location within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The concierge and staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. The grounds and facility are clean and up to date. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
I had a great experience at the San Luis Bay Inn. The accommodations were very well maintained and the new gym room and equipment were fantastic. I was married on this property 4 years ago and feel like family with the staff. The ocean views were beautiful and Avila Beach is a hidden gem. Highly recommended.
San Luis Bay Inn is a great retreat from typical big box ocean resort hotels. It is off the beaten track but well worth disciovering. While older, the resort sits atop a bluff that overlooks ocean and offers golf plus numerous beach and hiking trails. Also easy walking distance to Avila Beach stores and restaurants. Spend a few days here and you'[ll want more...
Did a timeshare exchange into SLB several times then decided to purchase. A rare property location that will never see competition. The grounds, facilities, employees and the rooms are all top notch. They could use more handicapped parking spaces given the cliental. Town of Avila Beach is a short walk away and has several good restaurants.
Beautiful views of bay and luxury accommodations with friendly, helpful staff. Walking distance to town of Avila where you have choices of restaurants and wine tasting. Short drive to San Luis port with more restaurants and water activities. Great bike/walk trail nearby also golf course and tennis courts. Several beaches to walk to and enjoy.
noisy hotel and guests in next room fighting at 4:30am and previously making noise.also making noise on first night to 3am.. hotel security came to tell them to be quiet after contacting hotel twice. Don't want to stay here again.
We only stayed one night. Next time, we will longer. Staff was very friendly and offered to help!! I did not realize there so much to do in Avila. Everything is within walking distance. Only drawback, if you want to call it that, is there isn’t a restaurant/bar at The Inn. I would have enjoyed a beer after the concert, but I wasn’t going to drive to get it. I could have planned ahead and kept in the refrigerator in the room.
We had good time. No issue during our stay. the property has the best location. Staff are all very friendly. All went smoothly. the new paint and new carpet are nice. There is still some smell of it left.
It's an older facility. We come there because the location is great. We love Avila Beach, Shell Beach, San Luis Obispo, etc. We come in the fall when the crowds have died down a bit, and the beaches aren't swarming with people. We love the nearby Pumpkin Patch, and the Farmer's Market at San Luis Obispo.
