My husband and I got married here on October 4th with 18 people in attendance, and due in large part to Sandy & Ernie's help, accommodation, and flexibility, our weekend was perfect. To say the view is 'incredible' would be an understatement. Even my husband's family, Colorado natives, were in awe of the view of the 14k ft mountain peaks.... More

The cabin is exquisite. Incredibly well done. The view of the 14ers out the front window is incredible. The hosts are very kind, an older couple from Nebraska. Be warned: check-in took over an hour with the excruciatingly detailed tour. You may want to subtly cut it short if you can. Breakfast was huge, varied, and delicious. Coffee was readily... More

This was our second stay, and it was better than the first! We will definitely be back again. The hosts are just unbelievable, incredible people that have made us feel more than at home in this amazing get away. Far enough removed to be a true escape, but not so secluded that there are limited activities. Hikes, rafting, shopping, and... More

We stayed four nights and loved it. Even though the place is along the highway, the back room had hardly any noise and neither did any of the front room areas during our stay there. The views are absolutely gorgeous and one could sit in that cathedral ceiling room for hours watching the sun play on the mountains. We loved... More

This is definitely one of the best B&Bs I've stayed at. Sandy and Ernie were very welcoming, friendly, and really wanted to make our stay special. You could feel their joy in hosting us. We stayed in the Wolf Room. Bed was very comfortable and they even provided a memory foam pillow, which my husband really appreciated. Everything worked as... More

I cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had during our two day stay! Sandy and Ernie are consummate hosts! They designed this bed and breakfast home with every detail attended to: keys to your room and their front door so you can come and go without worry about leaving your stuff in your bedroom, rooms decorated according to... We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts and this is one is definitely a favorite. Our daughter surprised us by making a post graduation reservation for some family time at the Mountain Comfort B &B. It is located in the town of Alma in a beautiful and serene setting. The views of the mountains are spectacular. The hosts are... More

I knew I would like the decor from the pics of the place on the website, but this place far surpassed my expectations. They had plenty of areas for lounging around including a room with a 70 inch TV and loads of DVD's. The beds are very comfortable, slept like a baby. Jetted tub in our room was nice since... More

We just returned from our travels to Alma and Fairplay, CO to visit our daughter and meet her very important person in her life. We searched for hotels in the area and actually "tripped" upon the Mountain Comfort Bed & Breakfast on a Google search. What a find! Ernie and Sandy have done an incredible job building a home that... More
