As a frequent business traveler whose company always books with chain hotels, it was a nice change of pace to spend a few days in a small quite laid-back local place. Our room was very cute and clean. The staff was more than friendly and the hotel is in an excellent central location that is walking distance to everything -...

I could not get into the Marriott timeshare in Aspen, so we booked the Independence Square Lodge. It is centrally located, but you have to lug your luggage downstairs to check in, there is no parking nearby, and the breakfast was minimal. There are 2 flights of stairs to get to the main desk. The parking was an issue as...

Good hotel, nice staff, great rooms, best location right on the bus station. Only downside is no parking and have to park several blocks away. Many restaurants close by. I would recommend and go back next time.

We spent seven days in two different rooms after being upgraded mid-week. Both were nicely decorated, well equipped and spacious. We had no problems with noise even though we are light sleepers. The location allows you to walk most anywhere in Aspen and the transit system is close by and easy to use. Aspens finest shopping and dining are just...

The slow elevator helps bring to the gentle pace of Aspen. Get away from the hustle of the big city and things slow down. The room was perfect and as comfortable as my own bed. Warm shower and everything I needed to feel comfortable. Bonus for the hottub on the roof with stunning views! Come in the off season and...

Loved the location of this hotel on the pedestrian streets in the heart of Aspen! Helpful things to know before you go: 1. there is no on-site parking but they give you a parking pass that allows you to park in the residential zones a few blocks away. 2. The entrance to the hotel is a bit tricky to find,...

This old building/hotel is centrally located right smack in town. You can literally walk out and be on the walkways leading to shops, restaurants. Our room, #213, was very spacious- 2 queen beds, 2 chairs, coffee table, couch, counter w/microwave & coffee maker. Fridge too. Clean and well stocked bathroom. Quaint decor. Only drawback-the windows faced the sidewalk area, so...

Our room was great, lots of space. The bathroom was huge! Bed was very comfortable and the shades kept the room dark in the morning. Very quiet, I never heard a sound from outside or the staff. Breakfast was great, open late. The kitchen was nice and clean with fully functioning appliances. We had a room with no view, but...

The room was very spacious, bathroom was very nice. The room has a fridge and microwave. There's a hot tub on the roof!! The breakfast is good although it would be better if they served some veggies. In the afternoon there's cheese and wine tasting which is very basic but still nice tough. The staff is very helpful and friendly!...

I came to Aspen with my daughter for a short ski trip and didn't want to rent a car. I looked for a hotel that was near the Gondola and near restaurants, shops etc. This fit the bill perfectly. We were able to walk everywhere and never missed having the car. The hotel itself is European style. If you want...
