For a low-rate in early February, my spouse and I found ourselves to be the sole inhabitants of this historic and beautifully-restored inn. Though we only spoke with her once--to make the reservation--and saw her only very briefly, we felt well-taken care of by the off-site manager, KayD. The house is spacious, charming in its details and accommodations and well-appointed... More

This us our second visit and we love this place! Lots of character! We came with 8 other couples, a few stayed at other places that are nearby. It's within walking distance to the downtown area and we enjoyed the live entertainment at the local theater. It was a Jim Croce tribute this visit. The House of Tarts is very... More

Having just had both my knees replaced a few weeks before we where looking for a place to stay for just one night on our trip back to south Florida. My husband and I stayed at the House of Tartts last New Years. we came down without reservations and stumbled upon this old house with a phone number. we called and got. We stayed here for a anniversary/birthday getaway and totally enjoyed it. The cottage is beautifully restored and it feels a bit like stepping back in time. We parked the car and walked everywhere - it is very close to downtown but on a quiet side street. We had the place to ourselves for most of the weekend. There is a... More

My Girlfriend and I needed to get away from the city we live in. And we decided to drive over to an area of Florida we haven't been too. And that was Apalachicola, Fl. I found this Historic guest house called "House of Tartts"on Yahoo and TripAdvisor. And showed the info to my Girlfriend and we booked it for Friday... More

We rented the loft suite the night before checking in to a home on St George Island. The owner is a pleasure to deal with and the property is located just 1 block from the main drag, making a walk to restaurants/businesses easy. The loft is a remodeled attic that was done in pine planks and wainscotting. It was very... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here and really enjoyed ourselves. We didn't know what to expect after booking the trip from just looking on tripadvisor. When we got there we were amazed at what a nice place it was and how close it was to all the shops and restaurants. The house was built in 1855 and completely restored about... More

My husband and I stayed in the loft Halloween weekend, and had a great stay. The guest house is very well restored, very clean, and in a perfect location for walking around Apalachicola (which was very very quiet in October). We didn't use the communal kitchen much, but if we had spent less time on the beach on St George... More

This was our third stay at The House of Tartts in Apalachicola and we were once again reminded why we love it. We first wanted to visit Apalachicola just because it's a fun word to say and we really wanted to see a different side of Florida. We immediately fell in love with the town and I truly believe it...
