Having been through Apalachicola, Florida on a trip to Florida before I knew that we should stay in this quaint little town. Finding great reviews on TA for the COOMBS HOUSE INN, I made reservations and was not surprised when the Inn lived up to...More
We walked in off the street and were dealt with efficiently and in a functional maneer, not overly friendly.
Offered a choice of rooms and chose 4 poster on 2nd floor (1st floor tu us Brits). Room was enormous with large en suite. Unfortunately the...More
We've stayed here several times, and had good experiences every time. Apalachicola is an old fishing town on Florida's "Forgotten Coast." It's a bit out-of-the-way, but well worth the journey. The Coombs House Inn has been our lodging for every visit; it's a restored merchant's...More
Had excellent service, breakfast and sharing experience with help and other families there. Was recommended and even assisted for eating reservations. What gracious hosts, especially Estella and her assistant. Very relaxing and better than at home accomodations for sleeping and cleanliness. Would recommend this stay...More

I have a well behaved feline and the charge is $25 per day. I did not take our feline on the visit in December, but I only stayed one evening to check out the place for a future longer visit. I have since talked with the management and received info. I suggest you directly call them. 1-850-653-9199[L] or 1-888-244-8320[TF] I believe the separate 4 unit house next to the Main Coombs house will be ideal. The back unit has a separate galley for cooking where I can place her food etc. and shut that door to the bedroom.A separate living room area with a door I can also shut, will be perfect for my well behaved feline to stay and socialize with us. I usually bring my own covers to put over a couch, when I travel with her on vacation. I also bring a large plastic drop cloth to put down on the floor for her litter area. Unlike dogs that you can put on a leash and travel around town with, I find that if you express your responsible plan with the management, they appreciate you. I also make sure there is an understanding that no maid service will occur without us being present . I believe the management will gladly work with you as they are so friendly. I actually stayed in the back unit I'm describing. Hope this helps.
