This building was built in 1880 by the JE Brady Co, as a hardware and ships store. The Brady store is still there but as a gift shop. The second floor, in the early 1900s, housed the French Consulate, the Captain of the Port and the US Customs office. The building has now been restored and reinvented into four luxury...

Rooms were beautiful with a great little balcony overlooking a little park. Might be the best view of any place in town. Rooms were beautiful. My wife got very sick and we had to leave a day early, so our visit was sadly shortened. We paid full price for the night we could not stay, but I understand that. All...

A comfortable room and well equipped kitchen enabled us to make use of the seafood market across the road. When the sun shone, the balcony was a very pleasant place to enjoy a drink and watch the world go by. Note that the rooms are not serviced during a stay unless specifically requested. This was not a problem for us.

The Consulate Suites was a great choice for our weekend in Apalachicola. We stayed in the Port Captain suite. The room was very comfortable. The kitchen had all the necessary tools, gadgets, utensils, etc. My wife liked the wine glasses so much we bought some at a local store. There was a balcony overlooking the river. We enjoyed some wine...

My husband and I stayed in The Consulate in September. We are so happy we made this choice. We had the one bedroom apartment. The apartment was perfect for us, we felt as though we were at "home." The location could not be better. I spent my mornings on our balcony having breakfast and watching the boats come back in...

Terrific location, great accommodations, reasonable rates - what more could you ask? We were right in the middle of the waterfront in our own 'apartment'. We had a private balcony with adirondack chairs overlooking the water. We had a kitchen/living area - VERY attractive and beautifully furnished. The bedroom was a bit small, but it was tucked back in so...

Location could not be better, right in the center of the waterfront area and convenient to restaurants and shops. The smaller of the 2 bedroom suites was perfect, much larger than expected. It is ideal for 2 couples but can accommodate 7 with by using sofas. Wish the weather, over 90, had been cooler so we could have enjoyed the...

We stayed here with friends for 2 nights in the Consul Suite. The suite was spacious, elegantly appointed, and perfect for our needs. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean and spacious. The laundry facilities in the room were a pleasant surprise. The best part however was the balcony overlooking the water. This was a great spot to...

I think I'll go back......??? Really disappointed with an event that ruined the overall stay. It should have never happened and the staff of the Consulate were wrong. However, let me start with the fact that this is a really great place in terms of Spacious rooms, nicely decorated, very convienient, and what a value. Upon check-in I was floored...

“They have 4 different configurations of apartments. The Ambassador was 1650 SF with 2 bedrooms. That one is the largest. Even the smallest at about 900SF would be awesome. It is not like a hotel...it is an apartment in lovely little gem of a town. You would have to check to see if it has an elevator, we used the stairs”

“All rooms are great, choose what you need for the size of your group. There is no services or swimming pool. Rates may be a little pricey. A good place to relax, go to the beach. Shop, go sight seeing, enjoy the history of Old Florida!”
