Don't camp here unless you are an obnoxious redneck with an ATV. This is the WORST camping experience we have ever had, in our history of camping in Florida at least twice a year for the past nine years. They tell you to tent camp...More

My family and I have enjoyed camping here for many years until recently. It has deteriorated and become unsafe. To all our friends who have been coming here and future visitors .... do not camp here!!! Recently we have experienced dirty and overflowing toilets and...More

This campground is great for groups. You can get several sites all facing an inner court of pavers and make your own little community. You will be packed in side by side. Don’t expect privacy. It is, however, full of noise and traffic. ATVs were...More

Camping is not my thing, but I have friends that think their RV is the best way. At the top of their list is Peace River Campground. We started in Arcadia, rented a canoe, and at the campground an RV site. This campground has a...More

I keep reading all of reviews on your Campground for years I've heard a lot of people say that they're going to fish eating Creek or the go in the Peace River Campground and they really love it and I like to hang out because of all the things that there are to do there I just recently purchased a pop-up camper and I'm looking for to go with me my wife and my little dog that weighs 6 lb which travels with us and I'd really like to just come up there after this 4th of July weekend in order to relax and get away only know that I live in North Fort Myers Florida which isn't that far from the campground but it just you know it takes you away from everything and I just want to sit and relax but after reading some of the reviews I've seen I mean about people talking about how they're paying an arm and a leg in order to stay at a campground but if you're paying like $31 and some change age and night to pay to hook up to your electrical and water there isn't that stuff included in the use like the use of the pool and the bathrooms in the shower should be part of your nightly stay is that correct? Or is there additional fees that are also being charged and they're saying that the staff members are really rude and the ATVs are running wild all over the place and this and that is this a problem where we're going to feel like we're uncomfortable is it really worth anything there or should I look for someplace else to camp thank you Tommy

The wilderness area is sand sand and more sand. Not like beach sand. Dirt sand. There are much better options closer to Okeecobee
