We stayed here on 3/27/21 and enjoyed the 50's retro look. They are doing some great renovations and upgrades. Nice staff. Some good restaurant's very close by. We will be back and plan to stay longer!

A Friendly Old Florida Feeling. Super helpful staff. All Ground floor which made walking my 60 lb dog easy. There were no dog poop pickup bags so be sure to bring your own and pick up. Easy parking close to units. I didn't have a boat but launch and slips are available. I think they had marine gas also. Picnic tables overlooking the river and some neat old trees. The motel was probably built in the 1940's so it is all concrete construction. The linens, towels and bathroom were all very clean. If you are seeking fancy modern accommodations this may not be your cup of tea. If you are seeking peace, tranquility and a place to meet a few new nice people then this is the place to be. The motel and marina are under new ownership so improvements are underway to make your visit even more comfortable.

You had no right to refuse business to me today...... I don't know what your beef is with mark and Lisa but that has nothing to do with me, I've always shown you respect, I've always treated you more then fairly, I've always talked to you like a friend, but when you disrespect me because of whatever beef you had with them.... that's messed up, I don't care what they did, if they wronged you then take it up with them, but that shot had nothing to do with me. Don’t you waste your money coming here there’s plenty of other places to go

We stayed in room 3 on the canal and the room was disgusting, god for bit they at least bleach and clean the shower curtain, light over bathroom sink broken and switch taped so you can’t use it. Kitchen light broken and when we tried to open kitchen window blind to get some light it fell the holder is broken. Don’t know when was the last time the floors where ever vacuumed, under the bedroom dresser was broken glass, broken mirror, pills & etc. I had to put there small couch pillows under the dresser to keep my small dogs from getting any of the crap from under the dresser, under the bed was just as bad. We found broken glass in different areas in the kitchen & living room floor. Ceiling fans don’t work. AC units need to be clean they smell, I’m glad I had my own air freshener. Kitchen silverware drawer had bug crap in the drawer, silverware dirty, refrigerator can use a good cleaning and some paint. People that hang out there let there dogs run loose, dog crap all over apparently the owner doesn’t enforce dog rules. Promises made to us where broken. All & all the health department needs to check this place out.

I was super stoked to spend mine an my husband's Birthday weekend at Astor Bridge Marina this weekend. Unfortunately the hurricane headed our way had different plans. So assuming with a hurricane coming cancelling my reservations wouldn't be a problem that's what I did. I spoke to Julie an she said no problem, she never said anything about a cancellation fee. Keep in mind my mom cancelled her room the day before. We were making plans to reschedule, but my mother woke up this morning to find $100 charged to her account from Astor Bridge Marina. How disappointing and what a poor way to do business. There is a hurricane coming u think they would be understanding. Be cautious making reservations here.

Nothing fancy but a simple retreat if you want to get off the main corridors of Florida and enjoy good honest riverside rest. It has such an appeal I'd look forward to another opportunity to return and explore the area a bit more.

We booked a room about a month in advance for 6 nights all around Labor Day. We were never told that we had to pay with cash only. There isn't a bank anywhere near there. Luckily, my husband arrived first and called me before leaving work so I could get the CASH. Once at the Marina, Andrew was no where to be found. Theresa gave us our keys and said he was suppose to be back so we waited. Five o'clock came and went...no Andrew. The next morning, we were going out on the boat we rented there, went to the office to pay for our room and boat with the CASH required....no Andrew. (This started on Thursday) Luckily, Theresa was willing to take the CASH, giving us a receipt and we were on our way. The pontoon boat was ok but considering we didn't know what speed we were going and/or exactly how much fuel we had and how much we paid for the rental for the week....OK is being generous. None of the gauges worked. Theresa killed herself all weekend, trying to clean rooms, fuel boats and etc.. Andrew was no where to be found. Even on a scheduled day off...management should be there on holiday weekends or have some extra help there. And pay for fuel with cash and Theresa didn't have any way to make change. Theresa is a hard, hard worker. She was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable. Without her...the place would not function. We left two days early. Very disappointed in the boat rental, the CASH only not being announced until we arrived and no management to be seen. The room was clean and Theresa was AWESOME!!! THERESA GETS A 5 !!! ANDREW doesn't score.] It also wouldn't hurt to change the mini blinds. Scotch taping them together is ridiculous.

We are currently on vacation cruising the St John's River from Palatka to Sanford and back onboard our 36' trawler. We have stopped at 5 different marinas along the round trip route. Only one of them - Astor Bridge Marina in Astor, Florida - has air conditioned bathhouse. After a long day on the river in 90+ degree weather, it is so nice to have a cool place to shower and dress. Sometimes you wonder what is the point of showering if you are going to get all hot and sweaty immediately after your shower while you dress. The staff, Andrew, Kelly & Teresa are all very friendly and accommodating. And the Blackwater Inn is a short walk across the bridge for a delicious dinner. Kudos to Astor Bridge Marina and consider this my 5 star review of their marina. We will be back!

Loved this old time Florida motel! Location is right on the river, you can dock your boat just outside your door. If you don’t have a boat, they will rent you one. Room was clean and spacious. Easy walk across bridge to Blackwater Inn for food and drinks. No on site restaurant at this time. Great outdoor space to meet and greet your neighbors, definitely a return destination for us!

Really enjoyed ourselves. Management was great! Room was clean and the place was quiet. Place is being improved under new management. It's old Florida which we love. Although the restaurant is closed, the Blackwater Inn across the river is close and excellent. The boat dock is right in front of the rooms and the launch and dock were included with our river front room. We'll be back!
