To begin with, the staff was a dream in helping us coordinate the retreat. Samantha suggested engaging activities and delicious food for our group. Moreover, her enthusiasm was contagious. When we arrived, the rooms were clean and charming. Everything was within close proximity. For our activities, we did the spa, horseback riding, sporting clay shooting, scavenger hunt, and lawn games....

This resort is great. While the hiking trails could be better marked, they were great hiking trails. The pool was like bath water. Everyone on the property was very friendly and willing to answer any questions we may have. Rooms were great and housekeeping came twice a day. Restaurants were on the more expensive side but there are some about...

We are just returning from Barnsley Gardens today after spending the weekend. My husband, son and I went for a last hoorhah before school begins. We had a great time. The rooms are nice. The grounds are beautiful. But what stood out to us the most is the friendly staff! Everyone we met went out of their way to speak...

Found the grounds to be well maintained and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Plenty of activities available including horseback riding, hiking, swimming, golf, shooting and a few others. Historical interest as well with the ruins and gardens. Entire family enjoyed the trip. Cabins were clean and nice. Free firepits with smores at night were well appreciated. Golf course...

We had a wonderful family vacation. The resort offers many activities to keep you busy. The hiking trails were good. We enjoyed clay shooting. Our guide Jason was very helpful. The pool is nice. Golf was incredible. I wouldnt recommend horseback riding if your level of riding is intermediate or higher. The riding is more for beginners. The gardens were...

This place is simply amazing. We were enchanted by the ruins, and spent some time chatting with the historian in the museum. There are many activities, and we did the following: shot clays with trapper Joe, rode horses with guide Colton, went fishing in a canoe, had a couples massage in the spa, and enjoyed wine by the fire pit....

This place touts itself as being a high end luxury resort. It is not. It is on lovely grounds, the staff is attentive and the accommodations are above average. What it is is just plain overpriced. This is the middle of nowheresville. It is a tiny pool.., two run down tennis courts.., a very well manicured golf course.., run down...

I have been here before and really think it is a lovely place but repeatly am stunned by the prices. A 8oz bottle of water is $3. Round of sporting clays $60. All bills add 20% tip. The food is good. Wine prices are over triple. But, as I said, it is lovely.

My husband and I both agree that Barnsley Resort provided us a quiet and serene rest. The quaint area allowed for a slower pace of life which lent itself to relaxation. The manor (ruins) is historical due to being a site during the Civil War. Its story is very interesting because the museum curator, Clent, shares knowledge passed down from...

From check in to departure, the staff was amazing. Waitstaff in the restaurant were personal and friendly! Our 8 kids and 8 adults found time to be together and, when needed, time to be alone!
