Certificate of Excellence
What is Certificate of Excellence?
TripAdvisor gives a Certificate of Excellence to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travellers.
We were disappointed that the ocean is not accessible from the shore. The resort did everything to make it easy to get out to the reef by boat , but it sure is a long way away. The resort is lovely and the people who...More

My husband and I spent the week at Capt. Morgan's with friends and we will definately be back. I am already looking at weeks for my family and another with friends. The accommodations and grounds were well taken care of and very comfortable. A little...More

Thank you for your enthusiastic review! We have been undergoing changes here at Captain Morgan’s and we’re very proud in how they are progressing. Throughout the process our team has remained friendly, well informed and inspired. We are very happy to hear that their hard...More
Since we had such a wonderful time last year, we decided to return to Captain Morgan's for our anniversary this year. We stayed in the same villa and, again, had a wonderful time. We love the staff! We love the beach! Rooms are clean and...More

Our first time visiting since new owners took over. No hot water for a full week, the restaurant meals were poor value for the money (ran out of fruit on a basic fruit plate order). Made reservations for our luggage to be picked up from...More

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback of your recent visit to Captain Morgan’s. While there has been two brief occasions in the last month in which our elevator malfunctioned, it was fixed promptly. This is the first time we have been...More
The staff was very friendly, the room was great, with the palm trees blowing at night to a nice breeze. The seafood was wonderful at the diner. You can catch the boat shuttle right by the pier, 1 min walk!More

Thank you for staying at Captain Morgan's and ranking us so highly on TripAdvisor! Our seaside location is ideal for rest and relaxation, and our new Mama Caribe Restaurant is getting rave reviews from their patrons. We will make a clarification however that we do...More

When my wife and I were there (January 20-27, 2018), there were a few families with kids, but most guests were couples or groups of friends. They have a little bit of playground equipment for kids, and of course people of all ages enjoy the pools. It was certainly not swarming with little ones while we were there.

The resort has a dock and several boats. There is a small beach, and a seawall. The snorkeling right at the resort is not great. There is not actual seaweed, but there is a ton of turtle grass. The water is warm and clear. The barrier reef is about a mile and a quarter from the shore, so there are not large waves. We did see a spotted eagle ray cruising a few feet from the end of the dock once, but the on-site snorkeling is not much. The resort does book snorkeling trips. You should also check out a company called Island Dream Tours for excellent snorkeling excursions, The best snorkeling, by far, is out on the barrier reef.

Thank you kindly for your inquiry. Credit cards are accepted at most restaurants and stores on the island. With a golf cart, it typically is 15 - 20 minutes from Captain Morgan's to San Pedro depending on where in the town you are going. The toll is $5 BZE each way, so that is $2.5 US. $5 US would be a round trip fare.
