The room was great with double beds, air conditioning, and wifi provided. The location was centrally located in the island within walking distance of the coast. I have stayed here previously and have never had problems before, but this time was different. The hot water did not work in the hotel, and I brought it up to the manager and... More

Hello Mr. Wright, Thank you for staying at Caye Caulker Plaza Hotel. It’s unfortunate your second stay wasn’t as favorable as your first stay. We respect your decision to write this experience as you had implied before you checked out. On the other hand, we’d like to ask if you would be so kind to write a review on your... More

My wife and I travel to Belize every year and make one of our stops Caye Caulker. The Caye Caulker Plaza Hotel is our hotel of choice; great central location, warm and friendly staff and always clean and comfortable rooms. With the new building coming along and anticipated to open this summer there will be more rooms available. The large... More

I stayed 3 nights at the plaza which I would describe as a rather generic hotel I'd expect to find in the middle of Guatemala not on the island town of Caye Caulker. The rooms were fine although hot water was very intermittent and pressure very low. There is a great rooftop area where we took beers and snacks and... More

Though the reception area could do with a little sprucing up, the rooms are great. Roomy, air conditioned, clean, and comfortable King-sized bed. Just a stones through from great restaurants, shops , salons and most importantly , the sea!!! Offers free internet, beach towels, coffee and tea and Yoga!!

My least favourite accommodation on our travels round central America - you'll be safe and dry but... Our twin room was very worn but the shower worked well! Directly opposite builders were working on a building - noisy, dusty & they looked straight into the room. Two out of the 3 plug sockets were broken. Narrow, soft bed on wheels... More

Extremely helpful staff with great location although 2 blocks from beach. Clean with good hot water but let it run a while. Free coffee in morning. Eat at Aunties on the corner for best and cheap fried chicken. Near bakery with cinamon rolls yummy. Lacking atmosphere but making upin friendly staff and location and value.

This hotel is not for someone who needs a fancy room or grounds. It is for someone who appreciates a plain basic room, comfortable beds, and who can climb stairs ( there is no elevator). Rooms are clean, the front desk staff are great, and there is a pot of coffee early in the morning in the lobby. No pool... More

We arrived after dark a little concerned about finding the hotel. We hadn't made a reservation. The hotel was only a short block and a half from the pier. They only had one vacant room. It was late so we took it. The night manager (Darwin) was extremely courteous and helpful. He gave us a little better rate when we... More

Our 3 day stay in Caye Caulker was not looked forward to until we actually got there. Our room had 2 double beds, a safe, AC, a mini fridge, and free wifi access. The beds were comfy and the hot water for the shower was fairly reliable. Shampoo, soap, towels (lots of those) were provided. A fairly eco-friendly lodge, with... More

The Plaza Hotel in Caye Caulker is a great place to stay. It is well equipped, everything works, it's well located for most activities and is clean and the staff are friendly. My only criticism is that the hotel is a fairly generic design and doesnt have the "island ambience" that the beach front hotels have.
