After leaving our first accommodation on Caye Caulker after one night as the landlord tried charge us more than the advertised price, we ended up in Ignacio's. It is basic, a wooden shack on stilts, and cold shower is basically an overhead tap. The wooden jetty for swimming in the sea looks fit to collapse, the water around is muddy...

My first impression of Ignacio's cabins was very poor. I arrived from the "main road" at the back and my golf cart drove down the alley, with trash scattered all over the jungle like backyard. The cabins looked a little shabby on their stilts and I found my welcome a little too rough and casual to my taste but after...

They are very good people, and you get what you pay for. If you can "rough" it alittle bit this place is perfect. It's a very beautiful property and is a new experience. The cabanas are charming. Very happy with my stay.

It's cheap and that was the draw card for us. Think wooden box with tin roof on stilts. Small front verandah with a chair and hammock and sea views. It rained quite a bit during our stay so the roof leaked in areas but nothing to bad. The mosquitos on the island are quite bad, but mozzie coils are only...

We booked this hotel via internet. We took a cabin with sea view. Price was cheap, so we expected just for basic conditions. Our disappointment was huge. We booked for 2 nights and fled from this "hotel" after one night. It was the most disgusting place we ever hosted in. (Even compared to very low priced hostels). Unclean and neglected room,...

If you enjoy the aroma of raw sewage, then this might be the hotel for you! In addition to the charming smell which greets you as you enter the hut, populated by ants, lizards, strays and, most of all, dirt, you will also find, for your comfort, a lack of toilet paper, towels or a light in the bathroom. Prepare...

This place is value for money. We only paid BZ$30 for one night. If you don't mind roughing it a bit this is the place to stay on the island. You have everything you need, the rooms are quite clean and the terrace with the hammock is a major plus. The reason why we can give this place only 1/5...

This places was charming and a great quiet location. It was rustic for sure, but for the price it was fantastic! We've been traveling for a year and a half and this place stands out to us as a favorite so many months later. Someone in a previous post complained of fleas, but those are sand flies and they are...

I had three nights with a friend in a cabin in front of the sea; cabins are simple and clean, a great amaca on the balcony will let you relax with the wind's sound. Very very cheap, you can rent a bike to ride the island; we met a nice friend there, Max the dog who slept in our balcony...

Its probably one of the cheapest places on Caulker and it certainly reflects it. I would have originally given this place 2 stars. For its price you can get a view, a grimy room with two beds, a barely functioning toilet and shower and one dim light bulb. And the proprietor is at least friendly and helpful. That is expected...
