I traveled to Isla Marisol Resort with a group of a dozen or so friends for a week. Never needed my shoes for the entire week we were there! It's a fantastic getaway with excellent diving (along with other activities) and a very relaxed atmosphere. But, it was the staff that really makes this place great in my opinion. Absolutely...

Forget any other reviews on any other spot. Actually you might want to stop reading right now and just book this place. Book it, and then come back here and read about a paradise unlike any other place you have experienced. This review says it all! If there is one line to sum it up, it's this ... "The perfect island, with the perfect sunsets, and most pristine coral and marine life, and to top it off the best staff who are now our friends and who we consider our Belizean family. #spoiled." It was our pleasure to share our island...

My husband and I love to snorkel. And although we also love to travel, we don’t relish long plane trips with 30 hours in transit to the South Seas. So I set out to find the best snorkeling site in the Western Hemisphere. Found it! Belize has the longest barrier reef in the world, second only to the Great Barrier...

It is truly a treat to have introduced you and your husband to the underwater world during your first SCUBA experience. We appreciate your kind review. Please visit us again soon! Rooms were comfortable, staff very professional, exceptional diving, dive operation was top notch, Bring plenty of Deets spray, the sand flies live in droves on the island. Home cooked food was delicious. Great snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, trampolines in the water, great fishing, nice bar in a covered gazebo at the end of the pier. Relaxing, Bring plenty of books

Hi Jody, We're happy to hear you loved the food! Our experienced kitchen staff prepares a variety of Belizean and American influenced dishes from fresh ingredients that highlight local and traditional specialties. Sand flies come and go, and right now we have none. We do always recommend that guests travel with bug spray on any visit to the tropics. Many...

We stayed at one of the Reef Houses which was very private with its our own view of the reef. It was a short walk to meals and the boats. We dove 3 times a day; the reefs are very healthy and teeming with sea life. We saw a peacock flounder, nurse sharks, rays, moray eels and sea turtles to...

If there were an option to give six stars, this place would deserve it. Our cabana was simple but comfortable -- bedroom, bath en suite, porch with a hammock, right on the water. Glover's is the healthiest reef I've seen in decades -- and in more than 200 dives. Marisol's dive operation was top-notch. Mora, the divemaster, took us to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Isla Marisol Resort lies on a pristine, secluded palm-studded island on Glover's Reef Atoll (a UN World Heritage site) in Belize. Of the five inhabited island on Glover's Reef, Isla Marisol is the only one offering private en-suite bathrooms, fresh water showers, hot and cold water, air conditioning, and daily housekeeping service. Isla Marisol Resort also offers frosty cold libations at our infamous "over the water" bar and phenomenal Belizean style food in our dining room. Incredible watersports are just a stone's throw from the resort, with most diving and snorkeling sites just 5-15 minutes from the island. All ages and experience welcome! Anglers can hit the "grand-slam" from their front porch, with World class fly fishing for tarpon, permit, and bonefish, quite literally at our door step. Daily deep sea fishing trips for Wahoo, Kingfish, Marlin, and a host of other fun fish, depart from Isla Marisol daily. ... more   less
