After 15 years of visiting Glovers Reef, we spent our entire week this year at Glovers Atoll Resort being abused, lied to and overcharged by the Marsha Jo and Becky Lamont. Our reservation which was confirmed three weeks in advance was changed from an over the water cabin to a beach cabin. This is a dramatic downgrade as the beach...

We are a retired couple. We had read the reviews and kind of knew what Glovers would be like. So, no surprises. I kind of expected that I would REALLY, REALLY enjoy the place, and I did...okay, I was a bit concerned about the hike to the bathroom at night, but even that was a non-issue. The bungalows were very...

We absolutely loved our stay on Glovers Reef Atoll. The huts over the water are wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed preparing some of our own food, but recommend you buy supplies in Belmopan if you can, as it is more expensive in Hopkins and some stuff is out of date. There is practically nothing at Sittee River which is very remote...

We stayed at Glover's Atoll Resort with our 9 year old daughter for a week over this past Chirstmas and we had a wonderful time. There were 15 kids on the island and they all ran around finding hermit crabs, creating games and snorkeling together. There was plenty of time to do NOTHING and that was just the way we...

We are a family of 4 (2 boys 5 & 9) and we recently visited Glover's Atoll Resort. We stayed one week but wished we'd stayed 2. We read through all the reviews before going to the island so we had an idea of what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. We can't believe people don't love it (but we're...

At least when we were there the owner was very moody and unfriendly; the absolute ruler over the small island. The "resort" is indeed VERY basic, so be prepared. For its super small size (you can walk around the atoll in a matter of minutes) there are too many people for it to be really romantic, Robinson-like, or whatever you...

Glover Atoll Resort….45 miles from mainland (took 1 ½ hours in fast boat from Hopkins). It is a Sunday to Saturday place and very affordable….campsites were beautiful and you can stay a week for about $100 with your own tent. Any activities or food will cost you more but bring your own food, snorkel and mask and you are good...

Be prepared for a truly unique experience full of adventure and beauty! Where else can you snorkel right off the beach and see vibrant beautiful coral. Or, view sea life from your over the water hut that looks more Polynesian than anything you would expect in Central America. The reef will not disappoint it is spectacular! With well over 600...

I arrived there after a long paddling by kayak. I didn't know this place, neither it was a backpacker ressort. I parked the kayak there, i went for a walk to discover this spectacular site and a very kind man asked me how I arrived there. I explained my history, and the owner, the kindest person ever, offered me a...

This was our 2nd time, and my husbands 3rd time to this location. We took our kids 7 years ago, and out of all our vacations this was by far our favorite, so we decided to go back. Both times we arrived we are in awe about the beautiful blue ocean water and the row of over the water huts!...
