Rooms are clean, the owner is a nice guy and helpful. So if you're looking for a cheap place for a night this is really good (not cheap compared to surrounding countries but for belizean prices really good). The city itself is just not worth to visit.

I found it a bit tricky to find a decent, quiet and affordable place to stay in Belize City, which was also in a safer part of town. I happened upon the Sea Breeze Guest House, and was so pleased to have found it. It's a very quiet, unassuming place, and the family that run it are accommodating and friendly.... More

Don't be intimidated by the gate. Owner friendly and helpful. Easy walk to ferry and about 15 minutes to bus station. Clean with towels provided and communal jug to make hot drinks. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here before going to Caye Caulker. The rooms are very basic and clean, the ones under the roof very hot (only fans). The rooms are cleaner than the shared bathrooms. The stuff is very unfriendly, giving you the feeling you are not really welcome. Wouldn't recommend this guesthouse.

My boyfriend and I had a very positive stay at the Sea Breeze. It is very close to both water taxis and also close to Nerries, a very tasty local restaurant. The Sea Breeze was what we expected for 25$us a night and that's what the four stars of this rating represent (not that it's a four star hotel): simple,... More

This is a great value, the neighborhood is better than a lot of neighborhoods in Belize City, it's close to the boat docks, and an easy walk to the waterfront. Food and taxis are close by. The building is very secure, and the owners/managers are very attentive. The rooms are clean, but very plain and not very inspiring. The rooms... More

After missing the last water taxi to the cayes, my friend and I exchanged a look of concern. We were told not to stay in Belize City, and that it wasn't safe. And with the sun almost gone, we were starting to worry. Two young females in Belize City with no place to stay at nighttime doesn't exactly make for... More

Great deal w options....I chose shared bathroom (but honestly nobody wanted to share my shower!) , and 'fan'...for $25/night and it was fine......one could add AC and private bath for about $10....all doors, gates locked/very secure.....dicey neighborhood but just follow simple safe in city rules-will be fine. Nearby restaurant has excellent local cuisine -Neri's......ATM about 4 blocks ....water taxis to islands... More

We arrived after dark so took a cab from the bus. Recommended as this area is dodgy in dark, but the next day it was an easy walk along the marina back to the bus station. The hotel itself: worst part- could feel springs of the matress, best part- double bed for 2 w/ fan, wifi (n tv for those... More

Nice and tidy, safe, AC, WIFI, reasonable price, close to the dock for boats to Caye Caulker and San Pedro. Our flight was delayed so a staff member from the dock walked us to the guesthouse. If you get into Belize City later, this is the perfect spot to wake up early and walk to the dock and get to... More
