The El Ray is a warm and welcoming place. The rooms are all different, the beds are very comfortable, the rooms are clean and well maintained. The restaurant is small but serves really delicious local breakfast with an amazing coffee selection. The staff are incredible and Dahlias cheesecake is some of the best I have ever had.

It was a pleasure to have you stay with us! We certainly hope that you will make El Rey Hotel your home away from home when visiting Belmopan again. More

Clean, Chilly air con, friendly staff. Best was the comfy bed, WiFi was never an issue, fast. Moderate price, but a great value. Requested early check in, the desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Quiet side street near Embassy Row, UB and capitol centre.

We stayed here for 5 nights in the last leg of our family trip to Belize. We booked this place specifically for the AC room. The room was clean and cozy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food from the kitchen wasn't that bad either and the world coffees were a nice touch. There isn't much to do in... More

Always clean, usually quiet, El Rey has the essentials needed for a stay in Belmopan. The distance to the bus terminal is hedging on long, and the selection of places to eat nearby are not vast. Staff is responsive and professional.

Right off the bat, one of the first things you see is the outside, looking clean and welcoming, especially the large sign that says welcome in many different languages. It somehow made me feel at ease right away. Very friendly and welcoming staff, clean establishment, quiet neighbourhood. What's not to like? The rooms are not large but are comfy, well... More

Not intending to stay overnight in Belmopan, we were pleasantly pleased to spend a night here. Reasonably priced, friendly, knowledgeable - if too many - staff. Beds were comfortable, fan was adequate to keep us cool, hot water shower, little café on the ground floor. There is a little complex closeby that has restaurants, ATM and grocery store. A great... I stayed here for two weeks while on a work trip and it was brilliant! The room was lovely, very clean, everything working. The staff are really lovely and the breakfast is great. The website is a little out of date - they don't do food in the evening - but there are plenty of nice places nearby and I... More

You don't assume much, but boy oh boy what a great place. My brother and I split a room and it was plenty spacious for both of us; comfy beds, solid internet, tv. Absolutely nothing else we could ask for. We were able to easily get to the US Embassy, and some other spots in "main town" to do some... More

This place was excellent. Excellent price, wonderful staff. Nice breakfast (extra for our rate). Very clean. Upgraded us for free. Only thing to note is that the shower is cold water only. But hey you are in the tropics. Actually we had a room with no air conditioning though it can be turned on for a fee. It was cool... More

Dear Peter, Thanks for staying with us and thank you for your very kind review. I am very sorry that you had a cold shower as all our rooms have hot water and on checking... it is a confusing three knob plumbing that took me a while to figure out. We will definitely have to make clear instructions on how... More
