My friend and I spent a couple nights at the Sleeping Giant Rainforest Lodge this month. We had so much fun exploring the property, trying new drinks, and enjoying the beautiful landscape. There was a lot of wildlife around the property and it was really easy to book excursions with the front desk. Overall, the experience was amazing and I will definitely be back with my boyfriend as soon as possible!

It is one of the most beautiful places I have been to. An amazing opportunity to unplug from the world and experience new adventures! Something that stood out to me was the staff! They made everything a 100% more enjoyable! Especially the person that helped me make the reservations. They were so friendly and answered all the questions I had prior to my arrival. The front desk staff welcomed me so warmly and offered many services to make my stay more enjoyable. They were always attentive to all my needs. Truly and amazing experience.

The location is great for the nature lover. The staff is exceptional. We stayed in the Creekside Cottage and although one of the selling points was the outdoor shower and tub, they were unusable. There is no canopy or screening to keep out the debris from the trees. The hiking trails, farm and river make for good on premises activities and the pool was refreshing on a hot day.

Our family of 4 stayed at Sleeping Giant for a week during Christmas break. We have travelled extensively around the world, and we all agreed that this was the most magical place we've ever been. The setting and feel of the resort feels like your made-up fantasy of a lush jungle retreat. The food was terrific and the staff friendly and helpful. We did a couple of the tours, which were also great. This is a good choice for a mellow, unplugged vacation. It is not within walking distance of amenities - it would be nice if they had a small commisary or some casual food options, like sandwiches.

My family had an amazing stay at Sleeping Giant. Creekside room was very comfortable and quiet -- loved the sound of the creek running past our room. From the moment we arrived, Doris was so helpful and delightful, e.g., booking tours, making the most of our stay. The Mayan ruins tour on our first day with Jean was incredible, and Jean was so knowledgeable. Orlean was our expert tour guide the next day for the ceremonial cave hike, which was the perfect amount of physical demand for our family of 4 (one with a bum knee). On the last day, we went horseback riding with Sherman, who is extremely experienced and passionate about horses and caring for them. As someone who was relatively terrified of horseback riding (due to a previous experience), I can say that Sherman's expertise had me relaxed and enjoying my ride within 5 minutes and even cantering by the end of the ride. The food was consistently excellent and Amir was our favorite server in the dining room. And I can't end without mentioning Alexander, who safely drove us from the airport to SGRL and from SGRL to our next destination while telling us about Belize, the culture, the landscape, etc. and answering our questions the entire trip.
