We stayed here one night. Because of the incredible surroundings we decided to stay one more day and night. The way the owners have breakfast, lunch and diner is so fantastic and cosy! No menu but they serve everybody the same meal (they do consider and change if you are vegetarian or have special wishes about your meals! The staff...

This review was for a day-trip dining and horseback riding only; we were staying somewhere else when we came upon this. Trip was fantastic. John, who owns the place, greeted us both at the stable and in the restaurant -- very proud and happy about his establishment. I've taken trail rides all my life, and this was no ordinary one...

We started coming to Banana Bank over 12 years ago and have returned nearly every year since then. The Carr family makes you feel like part of their family. The minute you arrive you feel instant relaxation. No trip to Belize would be complete without visiting Banana Bank! (be sure and ask for their beef empanadas, yum!!) Until next time!

Casual, stress-free atmosphere due to the attentive and courteous staff as well as the owners. Very relaxed and friendly. Touring the Carr farm, visiting Tikal and Xunantunich are very interesting side trips for any non-rider.The horses were excellent, healthy, strong and very responsive. They carried a 70 year old, 225 lb. rider with little effort. Riding such horses at night...

The buildings are grand and unique, the gardens are perfectly manicured with wide expanse of lawns, the rescue animals were cool, the paintings and art around the place was world class, we got to swim in a wonderfully large pool under the stars, and the food was what convinced us to stay an extra day! We went horseback riding which...

Great place to stay with a great staff. We had a great time at this resort and were in awe of the grounds. The food was amazing and we had a great time. It is a little "roughing it" as the only a/c are window units. The bathrooms were clean and the rooms are quaint. There was lots of wildlife...

This bed and breakfast is a mix between a botanical garden, fine art gallery and an animal sanctuary all in the heart of the jungle. From the lush green exotic landscape to the vibrant colored talking birds your heart will be captivated. If the amenities of clean air-conditioned rooms, wifi and an exquisite meal make you forget that you are...

First visit was in 2004. We LOVED IT! It is not the Ritz, and you may have to shower with the occasional lizard or frog in the cabanas because they all have live planters in the windows. This year will be 10 years of coming back and its beauty is indescribable. But the staff and the owners are what make...

We needed a vacation hub for our large family group and wanted something kid-friendly, reasonably-priced, with lots of activities, and close to cultural attractions. Banana Bank Lodge was all that and so much more—with wildlife, horseback riding, and friendly, oh-so-accommodating staff! We enjoyed not only a great vacation get away, but a lifetime of marvelous memories! We can’t wait to...

We were glad to have selected this place. It exceeded our expectations. The owners and the staff really great people. Apart from the 4 mile unpaved road this a good location in the heart of Belize. The website describes the amenities as it is.The family style food service and quality is excellent. The inclusive price is a good value. We...
