Visited this resort during the off season, luckily for me, that meant a lot of vacancy and a very private stay as well as use of the pool. The room was very nice, comfortable, and spacious. The while resort is very clean as well as the room. There's a bar and restaurant on the property, which was going into renovation...

Have stayed at Windy Hill twice, once in season, once off season. The cabanas are well maintained and just enough room between them to have a feel of privacy. The bar almost seems like your own private place, with pool tables, ping pong and lots of games lying around. Even a small swimming pool nearby. Felt, the restaurant was just...

Bed was a bit harder than we liked. A/C was a welcomed amenity! We live in Belize and wanted a night away. The pool was very nice. Bathroom was modest but met our needs. Shower was hot, but let the water run a bit in order to get there. Restaurant was closed in off-season (September) so we tried to eat...

We were evacuated from the coast to San Ignacio and had to end up here for a night. I would tell you that the experience was just okay. The bar area is nice and the drinks were good - Our bartender was very friendly as well. However the room accommodation we received was not to our liking. The room itself...

Nice bungalows spread in a wide area. Nice and clean rooms. The only problem is the hotel is out of the town. There's no means of transportation. So, you're obliged to eat at the restaurant of the hotel which is extremely expensive. Two slices of bread cost 1,5 USD. Same goes for the breakfast which is served extremely slow.

Like the title says Windy Hills is quiet. Then again we went during the low season (July) so I can't say that's what you'll get when you go. Regardless, being that it's directly off the highway and there's space between villas, the landscape wasn't overcrowded by trees, it was great that we didn't hear the highway way noise during the...

When we arrived in San Ignacio, our original accommodation (Nabitunich Stone Cottages/Hanna Stables) had over booked. So, the owner recommended Windy Hills and even called them for us. $60 US pr/night was the quote he received over the phone. Well, to our surprise....the front desk quoted $130 US pr/night. When I asked about the difference in cost, I was told...

This is the second time we have stayed at Windy Hill. The first time was wonderful with no complaints. That is why we chose it for a second time. It was so terrible this time that I knew something must have changed. Sure enough, we found out that there is a new owner. The public bathrooms had no toilet paper,...

We didn't have high expectations for the price but felt short changed on a few things. Pool was very dirty, couldn't see the bottom. Local river was clearer. Fans in room didn't work. A/C remote was "lost" and the staff couldn't help us with that in the two nights we were there and wouldn't allow us to change rooms. I'm...

this place is no where near as nice as the website pictures portray it. The rooms are so-so, restaurant is decent, workout room is gross, and bar is nice looking but the drinks are not worth what you pay. I would not stay here again. Not because it is so awful, but because there are better places.
