duPlooy's has been on my list for years and it rose to the top this trip because some of my friends are avid birders. We visited in October and the special price for package tours during a typically slow month in Belize added to the incentives. We were thrilled with this choice - a perfect fit! The 5 of us...

Judy was a wonderful host and her staff were friendly and helpful. Clean rooms. Beautiful flora and fauna. The botanical gardens are a must see. Actun Tunichil Muknal is a once in a lifetime tour that shouldn't be missed.

one of a kind place, friendly, clean, excellent food. Be prepared for no a/c, tv and limited internet. I had absolutely no problem not having any of these. I'm not an early riser, however I woke up at 6-7 each morning with the birds singing all around me so I can catch a full daylight, it gets dark pretty early....

We took a trip to Belize a couple of weeks ago and were able to stay at DuPlooys Jungle Lodge for 3 days. My wife and 2 boys (6 and 8) are pretty adventurous at it was an amazing experience. We went horse back riding one day and then canoed back to camp. It was the first chance our boys...

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and loved it! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They would glad answer any questions or give advice if we asked. The food was fabulous. Matt is a little picky so he wasn’t so happy with only having 3 dinner options, but was always satisfied with breakfast and lunch. This...

This place far exceeded my expectations, from the food to the excursion planning to the gardens and staff. I went with a group of 8 and stayed in the Macal house. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. There is no air conditioning, but we were able to sleep well with the ceiling fan and...

We stayed in a connecting bungalow with two girlfriends and myself. Upon arrival, Wilfred and Ishmael picked us up at the airport. These guys are wonderful. They were friendly, funny, smart and helpful. We requested them to drive us to our next stop in three days and they were just as awesome! The lodge itself is nice, very clean, spacious...

We spent three terrific nights at DuPlooys in August. It was such a beautiful and friendly place! All the staff was helpful and fun to be around. The food was amazing!! Every dinner was excellent and such a surprise in such a remote place. We stayed in a two bedroom unit with a nice screened in porch at the edge...

From the moment we booked our stay, duPlooys Jungle Lodge exceeded our expectations. Patricia duPlooy was a gem to work with...attentive, accommodating, and very adept at soothing this slightly neurotic hostess and making sure everything went smoothly...even assisting with customizing our payment options to allow us to get the best rate, and adding on extra guests to our already large...
