This hotel is beautiful. It's on top of a very hight hill, 360 birds eye view. The room that we stayed in was big and super clean. There is a very nice restaurant and pool with the most amazing views. It's within walking distance to cahal pech Maya ruins/ ancient city. You will never stay elsewhere after you stay at this hotel.

A friend and I travel to Belize to tour several Mayan sights. I booked the Cahal Pech Village Resort because of its proximity to the ruins and San Ignacio. The hotel is easy to find. Its perched on the side of the hill overlooking San Ignacio and right across the street from Cahal Pech ruins. The staff were very friendly and treated us as if we were guest, not tourist. Vanesa in the restaurant was wonderful. We ate several meals here at the hotel enjoyed everything we had. The Chicken Curry is practically good. Every morning there was a lady stationed at the breakfast buffet making fresh tortillas. We stayed in a villa with a wonderful screened in porch. my favorite part was the hammock on the porch overlooking town. I spend hours relaxing, swinging and enjoying the review. I look forward to returning.

We rented 4 Cabanas and 2 standard rooms that were upgraded. The cabanas were filled with mosquitoes and geckos. They are neat though kind of a glorified camping style. My kids stayed in them and liked them because they were different. The standard upgraded rooms were very basic. Large rooms with 2 beds no blankets, one chair and a desk. It reminded me of staying in a large classroom. There was no furniture on the balconies and you couldn't lock the patio door. They remained unlocked the whole time. The bathrooms were all renovated and really nice. Water pressure was great. The pool was very dirty you could tell it was not being kept up very well. The public bathrooms adjacent to the pool were disgusting. Now service was extremely slow. I think they are just short staffed that's the main reason. The food was not very good either. The people are very nice and they are all hard working in fact they are overworked. They had a sushi restaurant and a sweet shop but neither of them were open in December.

Very disappointed with our stay here. Let me first say the staff is AMAZING! Super friendly and helpful. But they have to be because everything was lacking. We stayed in a cabana and it was beds, dresser and That’s it. No mini fridge, no table to sit and eat and play games, nothing. And no extra bedding provided. The restaurant was not great. They were always out of many things and very lacking in taste. And breakfast took FOREVER so if heading on an excursion…go early! Would not recommend but bravo to the staff!

Our stay at Cahal Pech resort was wonderful. The resort is lovely sitting atop a hill overlooking the city below. Beautiful pools, outdoor dining, and really good food. The rooms were accommodating with comfortable beds and pillows. I do wish we had hot water more consistently for showers. The folks who work at the resort are remarkable. They made this trip truly special for us. They were all super friendly, helpful, and went over and above to meet our needs. Very professional but we felt so welcomed and got to know much of the staff on a personal level. They also arranged and assured transportation for all of our amazing excursions. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!
