I don't know that I can say anything that hasn't already been said about this amazing place. We stayed in the King Conch room for a week and were very sad when it was time to leave. You are steps from the ocean and can...More
A couple of friends had recommended that we stay at Maya Beach Hotel at some point during our seven-day trip to Belize - and I'm so glad that we did! We stayed there for two nights. The property is just magical and stunning. And the...More
We stayed in the King Conch room. The room, bed, and porch face east so we were greeted every morning by a beautiful tropic sunrise. That is hard to beat. The room was well appointed with a full kitchen, bath and King bed. Yes, you...More

We just returned from our fourth trip to Maya Beach Hotel (2005, 2006, 2011, 2018). Ellen and John Lee curate a remarkably consistent, charming, and blissful Caribbean get-away from the modern world.

The hotel does not provide transportation from the airports in Belize City. You can take a puddle jumper from Belize City directly to the airport in Placencia and they will be able to arrange for a pick up from there which is only about 10 minutes from the hotel. The drive from Belize City to Placencia is about 3 hours. I would not recommend doing this drive when it's dark. The roads in Belize are not well lit at night and you will come across about 10-12 short one lane bridges that sneak up on you at night . During the day it is a pleasant drive that is very scenic.
