I'm behind on writing reviews. This one in particular is long overdue. I stayed here in December and it was a wonderful, peaceful little retreat tucked away on Maya Beach.
The service here is phenomenal - perhaps because the owners are so involved and concerned...More
My wife and I stayed at Maya Beach for a couple of nights. We were looking for a nice, quiet place to explore Placencia from and we were not disappointed. The room was very spacious and well kept. The only issue we had with the...More
Barb and I have stayed here three times so far and every stay has been great, this trip we stayed twice on our travels around the country. The staff are great, the rooms range from very comfy to down down right decadent. The main hotel...More

The hotel does not provide transportation from the airports in Belize City. You can take a puddle jumper from Belize City directly to the airport in Placencia and they will be able to arrange for a pick up from there which is only about 10 minutes from the hotel. The drive from Belize City to Placencia is about 3 hours. I would not recommend doing this drive when it's dark. The roads in Belize are not well lit at night and you will come across about 10-12 short one lane bridges that sneak up on you at night . During the day it is a pleasant drive that is very scenic.
