This is our 4th time to Chan Chich-why because it is gorgeous, the folks working there are the nicest anywhere and the guides are superb for birding. The food was fabulous-I had the named salad with Cilantro dressing 3 nights in a row and they were kind enough to provide me with the potato soup on the morning we were...

This was the first tropical lodge we had stayed at some 18 years ago way before Tripadvisor had been invented. We wanted to go back to enjoy it once again and that is a risky thing to do. The lodge has been appropriately updated but still fantastic. The first part of the magic about Chan Chich is the getting there...

My family and I ( three children under 10) visited Chan Chich at the end of December for 4 days. The first thing i have to say is that the location alone of this lodge deserves 5 stars. Deep in private rainforest set in a Mayan ruin, it couldn't be more spectacular. Yet in the middle of the jungle all...

We just returned from our second trip to this fabulous jungle lodge. The first time was seven years ago, and I am happy to say that everything is at least as good as we remembered. I was somewhat worried that, given the tragic and untimely death of the owner, things might not be at the same level, but any concerns...

Wonderful for birders and hikers. A marvelous property in the middle of forest, sited in a Mayan ruin. The staff is extremely helpful and congenial, from Leti, the front desk manager, to the guides that we used, Marvin, Raoul and Luis. .They adjusted to our schedule and interests, although the best times for animal viewing are at sunrise and after...

It rained --- a lot. It was hot, it was humid. We were eaten alive even with DEET covering our skin. Not the best time of year to catch animals out and about. But... We had a great time! I'm still dreaming of the mango I had a breakfast each day. This wasn't quite the time of year to see...

Four of us spent several days here and fully enjoyed the peacefulness, the amenities and the staff. The greeting from Lettie and the knowledge Hilberto and Luis shared with us was terrific. Rooms are excellent in amenities and comfort. Good selection of tasty meals. The staff takes pride in all that they do. There did seem to be some bantering...

My wife and I stayed at Chan Chich in the spring of last year. I had traveled extensively in Central America but never in Belize so we booked a trip to spend some time in the beach (we were at the Victoria House in San Pedro) and some in the jungle. We planned the trip around availability at Chan Chich...

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Belize, highlighted by our stay at Chan Chich. My wife and I stayed at the Villa with our 2 children ages 5 and 10. To say the Villa was un expectantly amazing is an understatement. The Villa is unique to the other lodges, (my parents stayed in one of the lodges...

We loved our recent four day stay at Chan Chich. It was as easy as staying with friends. The service was faultless and level of comfort was first class. The Lodge staff and guides were friendly, knowledgable and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were welcome and had opportunities to pursue our main interest of...
