Tranquility Lodge is a lovely place to stay in the south of Belize. The Punta Gorda area is not very built up yet. The Lodge is about 15-20 minutes from the town, and close to the Mayan sites of Lubaantun and Nim Li Punit. The lodge grounds are well-maintained and good for bird watching. There is a swimming hole on...

I highly recommend this lodge for a variety of reasons. The location in the far south of Belize is perfect for those wanting great birdwatching and local culture along with a rainforest/unspoiled environment where far fewer tourist go. The grounds are quiet and lovely with a nearby small swimming hole where we saw exotic birds and howler monkeys. The food...

My family decided to get together for a Christmas reunion and we chose Tranquility Lodge in Belize as our main location. We couldn't have chosen a better lodge! Suzanne and Lee are THE perfect hosts. They made us all feel at home. There was a perfect balance of free time and scheduled activities. Besides the lovely thatched huts we stayed...

As a group of ten archaeology mavens and friends, we chose this B&B for its closeness to incredible Mayan ruins. We found it perfect for many other reasons, - gorgeous rainforest setting, comfortable beds, large rooms with amenities and delicious meals! The hosts were most considerate and friendly. And what more could you ask for ? A homemade birthday cake...

I have to tell the story of how we arrived: soaked like lost puppies after a tropical deluge, caught on a dirtbike with only a backpack between the two of us. Everything we owned was wet. Suzanne and Lee took us in like long-lost relatives...got us into a casita with a hot shower and dry towels, whisked away ALL our...

The property is situated in the jungle just inside Jacintoville and west of PG (about 5 mi), amenities were amazing! Suzanne and Lee are happy to prepare amazing food, and lead you to undiscovered places in the jungle via a local mayan guide. If you like seafood they know who has the freshest in town. They treated Kathy and I...

The Tranquility Lodge just north of Punta Gorda is just that, tranquil. I stayed in one of the casitas, which had a thatched roof. The decor was beautiful and the accommodations were spacious. The grounds were landscaped and well kept. The owners were also very gracious.

we chose this hotel for our wedding anniversary and wanted a quiet and romantic place to stay. And we must say that by being very attentive to us, Suzanne and Lee made our stay unforgettable. Suzanne and Lee have been running the Lodge since Nov 2011, and they're doing an incredible job. They are so friendly, welcoming and accommodating, we felt at home right away. My travel plans changed last minute and I couldn't rent a car, Lee was happy to pick us up from the Punta Gorda airport and drive us to various tours...
