Stayed here for 7 days with a missions team. Far exceeded my expectations. The grounds, the rooms and the meals were wonderful. My only suggestion would be to request a room on the far backside of the hotel.......Otherwise, you may well be kept awake at night by the sounds of fireworks at all hours and the horns of passing buses... I stayed at Hotel Santo Tomas for two nights while visiting the famous open-air market of Chichicastenango. The hotel had a gorgeous old world charm and the room was incredibly spacious. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The room door locks were a little tricky to use (made me a little nervous our room could be broken... More

We didn't stay here, but after spending 3-4 hours at the Chichi market, we found ourselves in need of some cool drinks and entered this hotel. The décor was classic colonial and the place has an old world charm to it. In its tiny courtyard, a number of colourful macaws were chirping away. Beautiful to look at, but if you... More

I had not visited Guatemala in 10 years and was thrilled to find this hotel as well maintained and promoting of the native culture as ever. I have stayed here in the past, but this trip the restaurant was an oasis in the bustling town on a Sunday market day on our way to Panajachel. The food and beverages are... More

We stayed for a weekend in Chichicastenango, the hotel is located in the main street shopping market, the market is absolutely beautiful! The food at the hotel was amazing and excellent service! Also, superb staff!! The gardens are beautiful. National marimba was playing at the delicious Sunday buffet brunch my family and I had at the hotel. This hotel was... More

We had lunch as a group at Santo Thomas. They made us feel welcome. We had a delicious buffet that had been prepared for our group. Loved the fountain area. They have parrots in the courtyard, one talks, he says Hola.

This is a beautiful hotel located right in the center of Chichicastenango near the main street shopping market. The grounds were gorgeous with beautiful plants and even parrots around the fountain in the main courtyard, the staff was nice, and the food was especially delicious. I would definitely stay here again if in the area, and would recommend this hotel.

We didn't stay here, but visited while touring Chichicastenango during their Sunday Market. The central courtyard was quite beautiful with lush flowers hanging down from the balconies & perched tropical birds. We returned later in the day to have fresh lemonade. The prices seemed reasonable for such a quality hotel.

Beautiful Hotel in a lush garden with parrots and fontaine. Large rooms with a fireplace for cool nights. The whole hotel is decorated with guatemalan antiquities collected by the owner. Delicious breakfast. Just around the corner from the colorful market. Private parking. We love this place!

I didn't stay at the hotel but I must admit that I was envious once I stepped inside the courtyard. The place is beautiful! I assumed that the restaurant would most assuredly be equal. I couldn't have been more wrong. Maybe I caught them on a bad night but the servers didn't seemed prepared to receive guests who "weren't on... More
