Place is great, great view, great location, but I really didn't enjoy the food. Breakfast buffet is 'ok' but we had lunch and dinner there and it's not tasty at all. I actually was sick the last day I was there. Also if you want to go to other villages you can go to the nearest town Panchajel and search...

What a lovely hotel. The view and gardens alone would be worth it but the carefully curated decor (traditional wood carvings and textiles throughout) and service are just amazing, and the restaurant food is very good. It's obvious that great care goes into everything here. I wish I could have stayed more than one night - it's perfect for a...

The interior is beautifully decorated with local crafts and antiques so it's no surprise the hotel has a well-curated gift shop with quality goods. The gardens are extensive, with parrots, macaws and peacocks adding to the breathtaking views. All the rooms have Lake views. The hotel offers a pool, infinity whirlpool, dock for tour boats, a helicopter pad, and massages....

I almost gave the hotel a 1, because the room I reserved was not available when I arrived (2 bed junior suite). We ended up with a lesser room. But, they comped us a couple of breakfasts, and my anger diminished during our stay. PROS: Great view. Clean rooms. Beautiful grounds. Friendly staff. CONS: Worthless reservation system. Horrible WiFi that...

The garden is amazing and so is the view of the lake and the three volcanoes. It is recommended to take a room on the 3rd floor from which is the best view. There is no air conditioning but not sure if it is necessary. Room was pleasant and well-lit. High beds. WIFI fine. Good breakfast. Too bad I stayed...

On 10 day trip around Guatemala and after seeing a lot of poverty and unsuitable housing throughout drive, this is like a palace and great place just to relax and get away from it all. The rooms are good, the grounds make this place absolutely beautiful. The owner has a green thumb and has grown flowers and plants everywhere you...

We recently spent one night here at Hotel Atitlan, but departed wishing we had booked an entire week. Lake Atitlan is not easy to get to, but the end result is well worth the drive. After a 3 1/2 hour journey through horrendous (but typical) Guatemala City traffic, then winding but mostly picturesque hillside roads and tiny villages, we arrived...

This hotel is set in a beautiful spot outside Panajachel. The grounds and gardens. the views across the lake are all spectacular. Staff is very attentive and friendly. But be careful of costs. Meals are quite expensive because it's not easy to pop into Pana for less expensive food. But for us the experience was tarnished by an incident over...

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Hotel Atitlan. We were lucky to be checked into one of the last rooms at the end of a hallway, that way we got a room with a balcony that covers more than 180 degrees of the view, and no balcony neighbors. Also it’s much more quiet towards the end especially when...
