The view of the lake and volcanoes is beyond. It feels like a Guatemalan Lake Cuomo. Breakfast is delicious, and the service is excellent. The room views however make this place special. It is worth doing a walk through town for artisanal chocolaates.
This was a nice hotel within walking distance to the boat shuttles, restaurants and shopping. The morning buffet has a large selection and the staff are very attentive. I would stay here again while in Panajachel.
The hotel has an amazing view of Lake Atitlan and a good location – only a five minute walk from the city’s main road (Calle Santander). The pool was great and refreshing and staff were friendly. The hotel itself is starting to show its age and an exhaust fan on the east side of the building is quite loud when on the balcony. The room was nice but didn’t have a fridge and there was no key for the safe. We were in room 501.
Spent two nights in mid-February with tour group. My room from the 5th floor had wonderful views in pool area, lake and surrounding mountains. Very quiet. Balconies are very private. Beds are very firm which I liked. Room with coffee maker, bottled water and mini-fridge. Restaurant had buffet for breakfast and dinner. Nice selections for a variety of tastes. NO A/C was not an issue as I kept balcony door cracked about a foot. Excellent fitness facilities on site.
We enjoyed our stay on the lake Atitlan, the hotel had fantastic views of all three volcanoes, easy access to the docks, lakefront restaurants, and a great pool. The restaurant breakfast was very good as a Buffet. Rooms are nice balcony had a fantastic view of the lake and the volcanoes we would stay there again if back in Panajachel

I often stay at the Porta Hotel in Antigua, so this was a natural choice when visiting Panajachel. The hotel did not disappoint. Excellent service, incredible views, and endless amenities. The restaurant was great and had vegetarian options. The pool was fab & I can highly recommend a stay here.
We had room 321 reserved by our tour company and were over the moon: views of the 2 volcanos, a terrasse,a huge bed and a sitting area with sofa and armchair. This was so relaxing and comfortable as everything was impeccable: the cleanliness, the beddings, the bathroom with hot shower and great service. The restaurant is good when it's a buffet,it depends on the number of guests in this huge hotel. Breakfast is fine too with 3 options if your booking includes breakfast. There's a bar which does great margarita! The pool is cold, not heated and nights are cold. There's a gym room to. You can have lovely walks along the lake at night or sunset and walk a short distance to stroll the long high street full of shops: textiles ( look at Catalina for European cuts in local textiles) jewelry and all kind of souvenirs. There's also plenty of friendly bars and restaurants to choose from nearby. You will feel safe there, everyone is friendly and not pushy. Highly recommended hotel for the location, and to take boat trips to the really lovely village of San Juan la laguna. The whole little town has been turned into an artist's playground: lovely murals, galleries everywhere and genuine weavers into community sales. Don't miss Kimok, where you can have a demonstration of organic dyes and buy amazing scarves.…
Large, pleasant room with generous balcony and full bathroom. 2 double beds but a tad tired on the decorations front. Lovely pool area with loungers and spacious restaurant serving good food at fair prices. Pleasant concierge staff. Recommended.
My daughter and I stayed at the property in Panajachel for 2 nights. After we checked out, and already 2 hours away by car, I realized I left my IPad in the room. I was planning to send an email asking about it but before I could, Lucy had already sent me an email. She was so very helpful, especially because we do not speak Spanish very well. I asked to pay a taxi to drive it to Antigua, but she arranged for it to be taken to Antigua by tour bus heading there the next day. I received my iPad in perfect condition. Our entire stay was lovely, including all of your staff. I felt the need to let you know how wonderful we were treated by everyone and especially Lucy.
