We are a small hotel with 12 luxurious rooms. and the rooms at the top you can see the Volcanoes and a few of the lake. The Posada de los Volcanes is a hotel and tour operator with transportation to all the turistic places It is a charming, quiet little motel just a block from the lake. The manager and staff are very customer oriented and make every effort to accommodate. A special addition is the motel taxi service to Chichicastenango, Antigua and Guatemala City. (Patt Hofmaster)

Francisco made our stay welcoming and enjoyable from the minute our van door opened. Based on other reviews we read we had specifically requested a fourth floor room and enjoyed our time on the patio with the view. They helped us explore alternative shuttle options and allowed us to wait there again a few days later even after we had checked out while we waited our return shuttle to Pana. Nowhere else to look to book but here !

A big shout-out to Francisco!! He was very friendly and helpful - he arranged a private boat for us to visit San Pedro and San Juan. When we couldn’t find our captain upon returning to the dock, he called the captain for us and then texted me again to ensure that we were ok. The location was unbeatable! It is right on the main calle with bunch of good food options nearby. The lake was an easy 5 mins walk from the hotel. Since we were only staying for one night, we didn’t mind that our room was on the smaller side. Shower pressure was strong and the room was clean. Do bring some earplugs as you will be waken up by birds chirping. We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel (not free), but we saw a lot of non hotel customers dinning there. You do get two big bottles of water upon arrival! Parking is included, but it is about 2 blocks away. 10Q/hr after the check-out time.

Best hotel in Panajachel with a view, full breakfast and wonderful customer service. I spent 2 nights in Pana at Volcanes and was super happy with my experience. The rooms were very clean, the fresh cooked breakfast was delicious and all of the staff were accommodating and friendly. They also speak English. I found it convenient to restaurants, shops and the boat pier. Julio- the owner- provided us with all our transportation. They can arrange tours or transportation even if you don’t sleep there. Fabulous all around. We’ll be back.

I stayed here for one week as it's my first visit to Lake Atitlán. Since I wanted to visit one village a day folks recommended I stay in Panajachel for easy access to the boats and lots of restaurants. I really enjoyed my stay here. Francisco and Mario and the whole staff provide excellent service. Francisco arranged all my transport and hired a great local guide on days I wanted to learn more about the Mayan culture. I stayed in a room on the ground floor in the garden area. I loved hearing the bird chorus that starts promptly at 6am. And I enjoyed the music from the bar next door. (If you're a very light sleeper bring ear plugs or stay in another part of the hotel). Breakfast is delicious and I have especially enjoyed Paco the 20 year old parrot who has lived here all his life. He's a love and joined me for breakfast. The location is great , especially for a first time visitor, as it's all flat so easy and short walk to the docks to catch boats.

We had a good time at Casa de las Volcanes. They organized our transport for us from Antigua. They were very helpful to help us book trips around lake Atitlan. The room were not very large but were comfortable with hot water. I would recommend to anybody staying in Panajachel. It is located in the touristic center of the city close to restaurant and the lake.

Excellent stay at posada de Los Volcanes. I had a room on the main floor, not far from the reception, quiet and as expected. Complete Breakfast was very good with 4 choices. Staff are very helpful, but I want to mention particularly Mario, who is a model for what customer service should be!

My wife, son and I stayed here during our visit to panajachel and had an excellent time at this hotel. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The location is very convenient near the pier and pretty much everything around such banks, restaurants and other attractions. The rooms are very clean as well as the bathrooms. The breakfast was always good. Francisco, Mario and the other staff members (apologies for missing their names) went out of their way to help us. Pura vida from Costa Rica!

The Posada de los Volcanes was our first stop after arriving in Guatemala. We arranged a shuttle from the airport in Guatemala City to Panajachel through the hotel. We arrived in Pana in the early evening and were greeted by Francisco and Mario at the hotel. With their help, we arranged tours of the lake and a trip to Chichicastenango on market day. Francisco and Mario were very attentive to all of our needs through the entire 3 night stay. They even had some good restaurant recommendations. There were some early morning roosters crowing across the city, but that was easily remedied with some ear plugs. I would stay at the Posada de los Volcanes on any visit I make to Pana..

We stayed here for 5 days on our last trip to Guatemala. Since it is off season the streets and hotel is slow. The staff was friendly and helpful. The staff let us check out all the available rooms and picked out our room that we stayed in. The room was nice, but we had to climb 5 flights of stairs, kinda hard for old people. The staff is friendly and greeted us by our names ever time they saw us. The breakfast was typical, room was comfortable, and wifi was strong. The lake is a few blocks away and closeto walk to. The drawback to this hotel is even though the hotel is set back from the street, you can hear all the noises from the street including the street dogs barking all nights and the lame lounge singer from the restaurant a few doors away. The hotel offers free parking, which is a block away. All and all, this place is a nice place for travelers to stay.
