Spent 3 days and 2 nights in beautiful cabanas. Bathrooms are shared but spacious, clean, and the showers are warm. Ishmeal was wonderful. He really made the experience. Knew where to direct us to what we were looking for and set up a great boat ride up the river, he even came along. The surrounding gardens and palabra with hammocks... More

The view from the jetty was lovely with hammocks that you could relax in. The room was basic and although shared toilet and shower it was spotless. The food at night was excellent. The owner arranged for us to be picked up from the hotel jetty when travelling to Belize without us asking, very friendly and helpful.

The bungalows here are basic but clean and at $20 per night you can't go wrong. We had a great sleep under our bug net canopy :) The shower in the shared bathroom (I say shared but I never saw anyone else using it) was nice and hot. But best of all was our host, Ishmeal. He was friendly, helpful... More

We headed to Casa Rosada on a bright and sunny afternoon with the intention of spending a night or at the most two before heading on. Little did we that Casa Rosada had other plans. We knew things we going well as soon as we met Ishmael - the manager who couldn't stop smiling and did all he could to... More

What a neat place. Ishmael is a genuine "innkeeper", he loves his job. He will take good care of you and make sure your stay is pleasant. The food was good. The rooms were clean, very basic. Bathroom and showers where clean with hot water. We felt very secure there. The launcha comes right to the dock, just ask Ishmael... More

We arrived in Livingston to grey skies and rain and after a very unconfortable lancha trip so I was not in the best of moods as we had travelled a fair distance to get the Caribbean experience in Guatemala. But the hotel was a delight and as the others have described it ie great setting, simple but clean accomodation, good... More

A great location with a long pier and deck with hammocks, terrific for swimming off and watching the sunrise and sunset from. All rooms are wooden cabanas/bungalows with shared bathrooms. It was kept clean but you have to ask if you want your room cleaned. An easy walk from the dock, left along the front street. There is a restaurant... More

Although quiet when I was there the manager and staff were really friendly and happy to answer my questions, get bus times etc. The set-up is fairly basic - I chose a bed on the veranda purely for the view rather than comfort - but it's not important when the setting is as beautiful as it is. I rarely eat... More

I share many positive views on this hotel with the oter travelers. Comfort is basic but clean, but so is the price. Location is wounderful with view on the sea and sunrise. Great food. Even though the owners were absent (the Belgian owner seemed to be in Belgium at the time we were in Livingston) the local manager did a... More
