We stayed there only 1 night. There was nothing to do in xela, ugly city. Hostel was pretty okey. But in the dorm 10 bunk beds very close to each other! Little space for your backpack. Bed linen were super old , with wholes in it. In the night was freezing but receptionist offered extra blankets. Bathroom was a bit...

Hostel atmosphere is very nice. Friendly staff. They went out of their way to prepare our breakfast whenever we needed to leave early to go on a tour, which was really nice. Rooms are clean. We slept in the dorm room next to the restaurant so we were sometimes disturbed during our sleep by light and noise. My matrass was...

Black Cat is an excellent hostel. The rooms are very clean as well as the living and eating areas. The showers are warm which are nice on a cold rainy day. The staff are friendly and helped organise our day to the Georgina's Hot Springs. The best part though is the included breakfast in the morning where you get to...

If you're looking for a great hostel in Xela - with spectacular breakfast options (included in the price) - the Black Cat is where it's at! Friendly staff, an open kitchen, and piping hot showers all top it off - and speedy internet, too!

The rooms are good, with comfortable beds and lockers available. The crowd here was lovely and socialising was facilitated by a nice common area. The 60Q a night includes a free breakfast (35Q worth!), so this really is a bargain. The breakfasts tasted awesome too! They organise tours and shuttles for great prices too. Overall, fantastic staff and facilities made...

This hostel is great value for money. Great central, but quiet location (except for the guy of the staff who was talking really loud at 6 a.m. every morning). Breakfast which was included was really tasty; you could choose from the menu. Friendly staff. We would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a budget option in Xela.

I stayed in the Black Cat for 2 weeks. It was lovely ! The stuff was very nice and the breakfast was tasty and big :-) I also went trekking with the tour agency that works with the hostel and it was a very good experience. Jose, the agency’s manager, was very cool and professional, he drove us to the...

Needed a place to stay before my family homestay begun for my Spanish classes. Comfy beds, WiFi, friendly staff, discounted breakfast, and nice common areas make the black cat a great place to stay in Xela. Great drink prices too! Check it out!
