Really enjoyed our stay here in Xela with the team at Casa San Bartolome. Felt like a quiet oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Located in a sleepy part of town but just near enough to be able to head into the nightlife on offer. The staff were super helpful and answered all our questions and...

This B n B has a number of pluses, and some minuses. It is a nice 4-5 block walk from the city center on a pretty quiet street. The common space and dining area are beautiful with lots of plants and a calm, soothing vibe. However, our down stairs room was a bit cavelike - dark and cold. And most...

We loved the location in a very quiet neighborhood yet within walking distance to Parque Central. The room was comfortable and roomy with lovely decor. We enjoyed eating in the upstairs garden area. It is very pretty with an amazing view. The owner was very helpful giving us information about transportation from Guatemala City and helping to make bus reservations...

A lovely, very quiet place to stay. The rooms are full of character and very comfortable. There is a delightful garden to sit in and a very friendly Weimaraner dog to pat. Breakfast is basic consisting of either toast with jam or cereal plus tea/coffee. There is no juice available. The coffee is excellent, well above the standard typical of...

We were warmly welcomed and had a wonderful time at this peaceful, pleasant place to stay. Our kids loved the cornflakes in the morning and the swing on the patio and were made to feel very welcome and at home. It is very reasonably priced, especially since all rooms have a private bathroom. There is a kitchen that you are...

The B&B is situated in a more tranquil part of town, just a 5 minutes walk from the central plaza. It is really quiet and relaxed. The only one to break the silence is Capi, the dog of the owner. Capi is extremely playful (even if you are not up for it), so if you don't like dogs, this might...

This house was one of the best places where i stayed in Guatemala. The room was very nice, the location also very silent and the family of Annabella made me feel as at home. I like also very much the beatiful dog, very friendly, Capitan.

A plain exterior on a quiet cobbled residential street, a 15 minute stroll from Parque Centro America, hides a welcoming two storey interior built around a courtyard with colourful plants and shrubs. Our pleasantly decorated upper-floor room had a comfortable bed, small TV, cosy bathroom and hot showers at all times. Breakfast is taken in a communal area with a...

We stayed two nights at Casa San Bartolome (which now features Capitan the awesome puppy). Annabella, Sara and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable -- they brought my friend tea when she was sick, gave us a hand with booking transportation, and were always available if we had a question. It's a...

“The rooms on the second level are likely warmer during the cooler temps in Xela. Downstairs rooms are darker and cooler it seems.”

“If you prefer a quieter room, I suggest staying on the main floor. The dining area/terrace is on the second floor, so if you stay up there you'll hear people who are there to eat, etc.”
