I really enjoyed my stay at Casa Renaissance. A very relaxing place with a lovely ambience that made me feel at home. Located in a quiet street, just a short walk from the Parque Central. Great, clean facilities and Marieke was always really helpful when I had questions.

My experience at Casa Renaissance was exceptional. The booking and communication were simple, the guesthouse was lovely with spacious rooms, hot water, two outdoor patios, a very nice kitchen and indoor "living room". The Central Park and supermarket are two short blocks away. What made my stay special was Mariecke's support and help. I had planned to continue to San...

I chose to stay here because the reviews were very good. And it didn't disappoint. I love the beautiful old house - everything is old, but in working order and well cared for. The room was enormous and the posada felt very safe. It also has a great location. Marieke was very efficient replying to our emails, even when we...

I've been living in Guatemala for 6 months and have seen more than my fair share of hostels - If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, spacious room with a private bath that's in an excellent location and offers free water, tea, wifi, and cable for a great price (160Q), you will not find a better place in Xela....

Really nice and spacious rooms, clean bathrooms with hot water and a nice backyard. If you want to relax in the evening you can use the big kitchen and watch one of many available dvds in the living room. If you need help with the tours, the owner Marieke will help you nicely. She cooperates with Altiplanos tour operators, but...

I stayed at Casa Renaissance for three months in 2013 whilst I studied Spanish and went back again for the second time a couple of weeks ago. It's still fantastic! The rooms are huge and have desks and places to sit and relax. The showers have gas hot water. Amazing! The bathrooms are super clean and the kitchen is one...

Casa Renaissance is a great place to stay! First of all, Marieke (owner) is a really nice, friendly and welcoming host. She is well-informed about the whereabouts in the area (city of Xela and around/region). The community rooms within the hostel are welcoming, with good facilities. The kitchen served us well, and the indoor little patio was a nice place...
