My wife and I stayed here in April 2013 for our honeymoon. I completely forgot to write a review but I felt it was so excellent that I should make sure I put my two cents worth in. Like I said it was 4 years ago but we had an amazing time. We arrived 2 days earlier than scheduled and...

I can't believe I forgot to write a review! First things first. This place is rustic. If you are looking for a resort like amenities, do not book here. Please save yourself the time and trouble. However, if you only need the simple things and would rather spend your money on doing things rather than your accommodations, then this is...

My wife and I spent 5 of our 9 night visit to Roatan at this value resort. A taxi($16) brought us 15km around the island from the Galaxy Wave Ferry to West End. The owner's English speaking son, Rene, checked us in, and at 1PM, an attendant escorted us to our duplex cabin located at the dock end of the...

The previous review about all the construction was to our benefit! We showed up and Renee informed us that we had been upgraded to a brand new room in the just finished building. The fact that everything was new sure made the room nice but the real benefit here has to be the staff. We chatted with each and every...

I loved the jungle feel of the place. Palm trees, hibiscus, and other big-leafed plants everywhere. Each cabin had a little porch/veranda, equipped with hammocks and chairs. It's a peaceful location at the end of a road, but an easy 5-minute walk to a bustling small town with lots of restaurants. The resort's open-air restaurant overhangs the ocean and serves...

The Half Moon Resort is in a great location just a very short walk to West End. It also has a nice porch area right in front with stairs down to the water. However, there is no real sandy beach to speak of. You enter the water via the stairs. The resort advertised a restaurant/bar on site but it closes...

We stayed here last week (Jan 13-16) and found it to be a nice location (enough distance between it and the noisy beach area) and a good value (albeit we were there in the low season). They are in the final stages of construction on a couple of new units, which will be great for future travelers, but no-so-great for...

Restaurant/Bar closes at 3pm, room a little run down, low water pressure, friendly staff. Construction going on right outside my room. Food was good, nice deck to eat and relax on it no noice from construction.

This is a nice place, but probably best for diving fanatics. It's in a very quiet place near the water, but it's not really a swimming or sun-baking beach. The rooms are extremely simple and rustic but also very clean. The restaurant is in a beautiful location on the waterfront and the food was good. It can be a little...
