I would highly recommend staying at Half Moon Resort. If you are looking for a normal generic American hotel go somewhere else. This place has charm, is genuine local, great staff, great location. Snorkeling within 30 feet of your front porch. Tomas, Jenny, Shawn and the entire staff were fantastic. We saw turtles, eels, beautiful coral and fish in abundance.... More

We stayed at half moon resort this past may. Snorkeling in front of resort is great, even swam with a turtle one morning. There is a pod of Caribbean reef squid that hung out in front of the old sailboat everyday. The old sailboat itself is great fun to swing from or just lounge on. The food at the resort... More

All cabanas are pretty much the same, some being closer to the sea than others. On site is the ecodivers dive shop, one of the many in west end. What makes the difference for this little resort is the friendly service, quiet shaded lush garden where the cabanas are located, and their little private oceanfront in between the mangrove with... Once again half moon made us feel at home! Rene and Matilda are the friendliest of caretakers and we couldn't be happier. Now it's not the Ritz or any of those fancy resorts but we are divers who spend about 8 hours in our room. We have cool AC, nice bed, fridge and beyond that our needs were met. We... More

We came down to Roatan to dive, and stayed at Half moon Bay, next door to Eco Divers. This place was great. Very relaxed, great food, great location. Jenni, Shawn and Alex were always there for anything we needed. Their restaurant serves fantastic food at great prices. Rooms are spartan, but clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a... We stayed here for 1 week over Thanksgiving. All the bungalows have a water view, hammocks and chairs on the porch. The rooms are clean and the daily maid service is great. There is a/c, screens on the windows, hot water, free wifi, free coffee all day, a generator ( key when there is a power outage) and a full bar... More

The Resort is quiet and the staff is very friendly. We enjoyed talking to everyone and they made us feel comfortable and safe. We had ZERO theft problems and felt secure. The property sits on the bay and is the only property that has a deck, a patio area, and an additional lounge chair area with direct water access. The... More

They were so kind and patient. Looking forward to returning next year to dive again. Erica took us on our very first dive. Helped me through the panics. She and the staff at Eco Divers were wonderful. Thank you again for such a perfect trip!

Should have gone with my research & gut & stayed here since I spent much time at this great spot! Yes free wifi at restaurant. We rented a house up the road but the loud intrusive b&b was a turn off since the speakers pointed to our outside living room & then the church chimed in a few times a... More

This was a very lovely place to stay while we were in Roatan - it was a 5 minute walk into the main street of West End, but far enough away not to be affected by the noise and music! The staff were very helpful and we had a nice breakfast in the restaurant both mornings. We borrowed snorkelling equipment... More
