My husband, two teenage children, and myself spent a few hours of a cruise ship excursion with Barb and her guides. We had a beautiful day kayaking and snorkeling. It was a first for three of us and exceeded expectations. We saw fish of every color from tiny to as long as our arms, including an octopus, lobster, sand shark,...

I am one of 2 over 60 ladies who chose a paddle boarding excursion at Upachaya. We had no experience and assumed that we would be shown how to paddle board. (The site does not state that experience is required.) We felt a bit rushed getting started; I suspect transportation delays were to blame. We got very little "instruction" or...

I would highly recommend a visit to Upachaya Lodge. The snorkel/kayak trip was a great experience. The lodge is in a beautiful setting, the staff are excellent and make your trip safe and enjoyable. An awesome meal was prepared for us by their on site chef, Rosario, with ingredients grown on site. Barbara, the owner, has created a paradise, for...

We spent the week on Roatan and decided to take a morning kayak and snorkel tour at Upuchaya. Eight of us went, and the excursion was fabulous in every way. The property is spectacular, the nearby reef is lovely and paddling through the mangroves was magical. The outing was capped with a delicious local meal and we all went home...

We had a wonderful weeks holiday and felt thoroughly looked after by Barbara and her staff. The location is beautiful and the kayak and snorkel tour well worth trying. For us it was not just a week to relax but also one to learn...about the plants in the grounds and coral reef with its amazing beauty. We would highly recommend...

We loved our kayak and snorkel tour at Upachaya! Everything was very well organized. The equipment was great, the guides were attentive and the scenery and reef exceeded my expectations. A pleasant paddle led to a reef where we saw loads of coral and fish. The owner has done a wonderful job with the grounds and gave us lots of...

During a cruise ship stop in Roatan, we opted on our own to book a one-day paddle board tour at Upachaya Eco-Lodge. Barbara, the owner, promptly returned our phone/email request, and arranged for our transportation to her property. Upon our arrival, she gave us a tour of her property and set us up with our paddle guide. We paddled for...

Thank you for joining us here at Upachaya. We love having the opportunity to "show off" the beauty of Mother Nature here and in the surrounding bay and mangroves. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed yourselves so much. And keep going for that goal of paddle boarding into the later years of life!

The grounds at Upachaya are just so beautiful! The owner walks you around and explains each tree/ plant and their health benefits as well as information about the mangroves. The kayaking was not too strenuous and long (just a bit on the way back due to the wind). The snorkel spot was wonderful.. Right. The middle of the ocean with...

Thank you for joining us here at Upachaya. Yes, Mother Nature likes to share her wind with us now and again and it makes it a bit more challenging with the kayaks. But, all in all I'm glad to hear you had a good time. Thank you for your review.

A beautiful natural beauty surrounds you. The kayaking, snorkeling could not be better. Barb the owner/operator is one of the best in making sure customers have all that is needed. The cook provides the best island fare.
