What a hidden oasis! We booked our tour with Barb online before our arrival. They picked us up at our resort and shuttled us to the Eco lodge. We arrived before the other four guests so we walked around and enjoyed some Lemonade. Barb is very knowledgeable and informative. She has done an amazing job on the grounds. Flowers, plants,...

Mom, Dad, 18 year old stayed here for a week. This is a hidden gem. It is quiet and away from all the crowds. Not to worry though, Barb will transport you anywhere anytime. Kayaking and snorkeling is great here. Meals are great. Barb will point you to the best POA's on the island when the ships will not be...

We did the snorkel/kayak combo during a Carnival cruise in January. It was our favorite excursion and we have already talked about going back just to stay at the lodge. The pickup from the port is super easy and drive is quick. Once you get to the lodge, you get a tour of the grounds from Barbara that includes lots...

My husband, two teenage children, and myself spent a few hours of a cruise ship excursion with Barb and her guides. We had a beautiful day kayaking and snorkeling. It was a first for three of us and exceeded expectations. We saw fish of every color from tiny to as long as our arms, including an octopus, lobster, sand shark,...

Thank you for joining us. Yes the reef is filled with amazing life, and there are times when one can simply float and see all sorts of life before your eyes. Wandering about also provides the opportunity to see so much more in way of variety of sea life as well. I'm glad you had a great time, and we...

I am one of 2 over 60 ladies who chose a paddle boarding excursion at Upachaya. We had no experience and assumed that we would be shown how to paddle board. (The site does not state that experience is required.) We felt a bit rushed getting started; I suspect transportation delays were to blame. We got very little "instruction" or...

Paddle boarding is such a fun new sport and typically takes a time or two on the water before one can master the balancing act and all that goes hand in hand to stay upright the entire time. The good thing is that when/if you fall at least you fall into the water minimizing the potential for any injuries. I'm...

I would highly recommend a visit to Upachaya Lodge. The snorkel/kayak trip was a great experience. The lodge is in a beautiful setting, the staff are excellent and make your trip safe and enjoyable. An awesome meal was prepared for us by their on site chef, Rosario, with ingredients grown on site. Barbara, the owner, has created a paradise, for...

We spent the week on Roatan and decided to take a morning kayak and snorkel tour at Upuchaya. Eight of us went, and the excursion was fabulous in every way. The property is spectacular, the nearby reef is lovely and paddling through the mangroves was magical. The outing was capped with a delicious local meal and we all went home...

We loved our kayak and snorkel tour at Upachaya! Everything was very well organized. The equipment was great, the guides were attentive and the scenery and reef exceeded my expectations. Thank you for joining us here at Upachaya. We love having the opportunity to "show off" the beauty of Mother Nature here and in the surrounding bay and mangroves. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed yourselves so much. And keep going for that goal of paddle boarding into the later years of life!
