This was a fantastic day and I highly recommend this snorkeling excursion. We booked the reef snorkeling tour for our cruise stop at Roatan, so we were picked up just outside the cruise port and it was a quick trip to the other side of the island. Barbara, the owner, greeted us and was so lovely to visit with. It ended up being just three of us and two guides on the pontoon out to snorkeling. We had over 2 amazing hours to see the reef and only saw one other boat off in the distance. Our guide in the water was constantly pointing out different fish we otherwise wouldn't have noticed. Afterward we had a delicious meal and were brought back to the cruise port. I couldn't have asked for a better day!

I found their opportunity to kayak through mangroves and then snorkel and booked this outing during our ship's stop on Roatan, Honduras. Nola met us just outside the port and drove us across the island to the Eco Lodge. She was incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable. We were met at the lodge by Barb, the owner. The interaction was again, incredibly pleasant and informative. Between Nola and Barb we were able to get a very impressive picture of the changes and improvements that have taken place as the Eco lodge has grown organically. Our outing started quickly and the snorkeling was the best ever....we were out there close to 2 hours and could have done more - it was truly magical. Back on land, we had the opportunity to visit with Barb personally while we ate. We have an incredible respect for what she has created and hope to be able to go back sometime.

Thank you for your comments. You are very kind. Nola is a true friend, and I have great respect for her. She grew up on my property as a child. Upachaya in years past was part of her Dad's farm. She truly is an amazing woman, and has so much knowledge about the island that she is always willing to share. I'm very glad you had a great time, and would encourage you to come back and spend more time with us. Come stay at the lodge and enjoy the serenity, and tranquility of Upachaya.

From the moment I arrived at Upachaya, I felt transformed and relaxed. Upachaya is a beautiful property with an attentive, helpful owner who will give you a tour of the property, make recommendations for things to do, and make sure that you are having the trip of a lifetime. Breakfast is included and it was not only filling, but delicious. The cook is a perfect person to start the day with as she is a lovely person who greets you with a warm smile and a phenomenal meal. I had never snorkeled or kayaked before, but I tried both activities while at Upachaya. The staff was fantastic and helpful. After the snorkeling tour, we were served an amazing lunch. I just cannot say enough about the magic of Upachaya. Every detail was special, beautiful, and transforming. My only regret was that I couldn't stay longer and I was there for a week!

If you want to experience a fabulous snorkeling trip in Roaton then there is simply no better place to choose than Upachaya. We recently stopped in Roatan during a cruise and decided to stay away from the large organised tours and instead booked a snorkeling trip directly with Upachaya and we were so glad we did! We we're picked up directly at the port and transported to Upachaya where we met Barbara who was a great host. We toured her wonderful property before our small group of just 3 went off with 2 guides for a pontoon boat snorkel tour where we saw fantastic marine life around the reef. When we returned we we're served a great freshly made meal. This is a must do if your visiting Roatan!!
