We spent a week at Paya Bay in early June and it was wonderful from beginning to end. The grounds are lovely, with all sorts of secluded hideaways, and bliss Beach lives up to its name. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the food is excellent. We also loved resort dogs Thelma and Louise, made us miss ours a...

While driving out on East End we came across Paya Bay Resort where we took a respite and enjoys a 2 hour lunch. What wonderful views. While we did not stay at the hotel we found great charm in the facility. Obviously if you stay at Paya Bay Resort you will be isolated, therefore needing to plan on eating there...

The reef is only 200 yards off the resort's beach, and the closest dive center is only a 10-minute boat trip away. We spent a week relaxing and completing our open water certification. The roads on the east side of Roatan are not the best, but the access to the water and the reef are everything you could ask for,...

Paya Bay is amazing! I felt like I was a kid on Tom Sawyer's island for the entire stay. This property is a labor of love, meticulously maintained and thought out. We stayed in a cliff side room and loved the sound of the ocean below. The included breakfast was always good, and the food choices never bored us for...

I used that word many times during our two week stay in mid-May of this year. It described the weather, people, jungle, beach, walkways, room, and most any site we saw. We had a ride waiting for us when we left the airport, which was a good start. We've been seeing on the blogs that it's a 45-50 minute ride,...

This was the most fabulous vacation we have had. The staff was amazing and went above any request we made. When they found out it was our 25th anniversary, they planned a special dinner and evening for us. There is no fear of mosquitoes -- a steady breeze keeps them away, and the staff is constantly looking to eliminate any...

Had my wife's birthday lunch at Paya Bay yesterday. Absolutely wonderful afternoon. The staff was gracious and attentive, the food was tasty and they even made a birthday cake for us. Add the killer view and fresh sea breeze and it just doesn't get any better. We live on Roatan and Paya Bay Resort is one of our favorite getaway...

We took a day trip from the Carnival Freedom Cruise Ship, at it was the best excursion on the trip. We were met at the cruise ship terminal on time as usual and it took about fifty minutes to get to the resort. We were met like family, we ordered our lunch for noon. We spent the morning on the...

The property is outstanding. The place is small enough you will know all the other guests. Great trails, a fantastic beach, awesome views, many small lounge areas with privacy. The once or twice a day snorkel trips by Captain Tom are well worth the extra $10. Sea kayaking in the waves was a blast. We stayed in a cliff side...
