Yat Balam is a small hotel, with four rooms located in central Copán. The staff is friendly and helpful. They provided great recommendations on what to do nearby, explained maps, and even learnt the names of everyone in my family. On the hotel's first floor there are three stores and one café. The rooms and a reading area are located...

We stayed here last September with my husband, mother-in-law, and husband's grandmother. I cannot describe how amazing this hotel is. It is a fabulous boutique hotel with only a handful of rooms. The people who work there are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. We ate at the restaurant downstairs every morning and it...

We had a great experience in this little hotel. All of the staff was great but the best was Rina. My wife and I speak very little Spanish and Rina spoke very broken English but she found a way to communicate and help us enjoy our two night stay. She gave us a map to the ruins which are a...

Highly Recommend Yat Balam as your base for exploring the Copan area. Heinz was very friendly and have us lots of pointers on what to check out around town. He also sorted us out with a great guide for the ruins and umbrellas for heading out in the rainy afternoons :) Perfect in every way and superb value for money....

Our travel edginess and weariness instantly dissipated upon entering the Yat B'alam Boutique hotel in Copan. My wife and I were received with warm smiles, inmediate recognition, and unparalleled hospitality. Our first impressions were indeed lasting impressions which set the tone for our 2 night stay. This was my first time traveling to Honduras (alone!), I found this site through TripAdvisor and I could not ask for a better experience. I specifically picked this hotel not because of the price, but because another couple of travelers recommended it. Their positive acclaim and enthusiasm for this place convinced me to select it for my stay in Copan....
