This cute little hostel is a great place to stay in Copan Runias, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the showers have hot water and the location is great. The owner / host was so helpful and friendly - offering lots of local information and showing interest in getting to know and helping their guests. The food at Casa de Cafe (next door and ran by the same owners) was great - I ate breakfast and dinner there.
The rooms and bathrooms were kept very clean, relaxing/laid back and fun atmosphere, lots of info on local food and things to do. Staff was friendly but not intrusive. No curfew, staff waits by the door and opens when you knock
This is a great, clean spot in lovely Copan. The location is great - about a 20 minute walk to the ruins, and everything in the city is within 10 minutes. Hot showers, good wifi, comfy beds, a lounge area, a fantastic breakfast (and dinner) at the lovely sister hotel next door. Hamlet was running the show during my visit and he could not have been more helpful. Onward bus to Antigua for $35 US was arranged by him and went smoothly. All in all, if you are happy not having your own private bathroom then this place is great.
Very nice Staff, Clean Rooms, nice and cozy areas to hang out and get to know other Travelers and the Breakfast next door is great as well, all homemade stuff which spoils a travelled soul. You can reach basically everything by foot, to the ruins its a 15 minutes walk.
I loved staying at the iguana azul! I felt safe because it is located in a nice area. It was well kept and clean. It had all the amenities I needed. The owner speaks English and Spanish and he was very helpful with my stay. There’s a cafe next door for guests and the food was incredible. It had the best view in Copan Reinas. Highly recommend. Will be back :)
Great place to stay in copan! Easy to get around to all the places and the food was great to! Howard in the reception was super helpful and answered any question we had! Super clean rooms and the bathrooms was cleaned multiple times a day! Would recommend
I stayed at Studio 22 which is part of Iguana Azul but is it’s own little stand alone studio apartment next door. It has everything you need for a solo person or couple for your time in Copan. Nicely equipped kitchen with what you need to make coffee or cook a little. The water is hot and the bed upstairs is super comfy. The wifi connection is nice and strong for you to enjoy a movie night in. The location is great, a few minutes walk to the centre and nice and peaceful at night. Highly recommend staying there during your time in Copan, you won’t be disappointed.
The place is at one minute walk from the center. Clean, hot water and spacious room. The house is really beautiful and the decoration very nice. Howard is super organized and could help for everything. The staff is really professional. I recommend you this place.
The best place to stay in Copan. Amazing staff, breakfast and place. I would give 10 stars if I could. Don't look for anywhere else but this amazing hostel and restaurant next door. The view of the mountains while you're having a homemade omelette and freshly baked bread is priceless!
Honduras is country #56 for me. And as part of this trip, I wanted to try a hostel in both Guatemala and Honduras. Being a "roller bagger", hotels are really my thing. But how different is a hostel from a fire station bunkroom with shared facilities? So, I did hostel "lite" a private room with shared facilities. This place is everything as advertised. Clean, spacious, communicative owner. My private room was quite comfortable. I think I was the only one staying in my section, but all of the shower and toilet rooms were cleaned everyday. There was also night security, which adds a level of comfort. A couple of notes, and maybe those of you who are regular hostel guests, you know these things? There are only two outlets, at least in my room, so if you have multiple devices to charge, bring a multiport USB charger. And the border at El Florido is not 24/7. I got there after closing time and had to accept a ride from a local, in the dark; way outside of my comfort zone! In hindsight, I wish I had communicated with the owner earlier and asked him to arrange for a moto-taxi to wait for me.…
