Geert (Gerardo) is an exceptional host and was more than willing to introduce me into his current world, restaurant and hotel in Copan, Honduras. Having lived in Flanders over the last couple of years and with Geert being from Antwerpen (Belgium), the connection was natural, yet Geert went a little further and made sure my stay here was comfy and interesting! Covid rules are implemented and the place is safe.

ViaVia has private rooms with bathroom for only 10dollars a night. They have a restaurant and a tour service who can arrange you everything you need. The rooms are simple and clean. Hot water in th shower. The restaurant has a very nice and large selection of food. All the waiters were really friendly and helpfull. Be carefull if you go during week-end, the hotel is just next to the "Sky" disco and the music is so loud that you have the impression it's in your room. Couldn't sleep until 2am the first night. Second night I was so exhausted that I manage to pass out despite the music. I dont know how it is on week days but if you are a light sleeper, maybe it's not the best place for you.

Obviously, you can't beat the price. I stayed for 3 nights and really liked the room, but even during weekdays the place is incredibly noisy. I'm a heavy sleeper, so usually not an issue, but not good if you want to sleep early. The staff was really nice, but only one person really could speak conversational English. That was mostly fine, just made booking shuttles and things a bit more challenging. I couldn't get on wifi in my room (more of an FYI than a complaint - the room was still only $10). Food is pretty good and the mini-tipico breakfast can't be beat!

I loved having my own room for $10. I love d the bar and restaurant. I met some backpackers and interesting locals there. I wanna come back soon. The owner is a.cool guy who speaks 5 languages. They help you with transportation and everything else in town. The drink prices are very resonable and the whole town of Copan is super safe.

To start, the room is cheap and you get what you pay for. On the downside, dirty sheets, noisy and the dogs get their lunch in front of your room. Try to get a room at the back! The food however is to die for and staff superfriendly

We stayed here for two nights while we visited the ruins on our way to Guatemala. It's a nice small place with very clean and comfy rooms. It is only $10 per night for a private room which includes an ensuite and fan. The meals here are also very tasty and reasonably priced. It was also easy to book our ongoing shuttle from here. We would recommend for anyone on a budget travelling to Copan.

The hostel is very cheap! Only $10 per night for a room with private bathroom. I think it is the cheapest one in town. But it is noisy, because the bar is open till late (especially during the weekends, also is the disco next door - firday and saturdays until 2). The location is perfect and they offer lots of great tours (do the Canopy tour, best ever!!!) and the food in the restaurant/bar is good too. Sometimes the waiters forget something to serve unfortunately.

We arrived after a very long day of travel accross Guatemala and in the middle of a crazy Independence Day celebration, even though We had very little Spanish and the Young Lady at the Bar had no English, we managed to get a room and then dinner. I left my sandals there, accidentally, and the Owner Geraldo, had them delivered to my next accommodations for me, no problem. It is also a great place to book an adventure into the Countryside surrounding this tiny little cobblestone town. The service was very friendly and helpful to weary travelers!
